I will see you there (again), Dante.

Downtown is fine with us Hawaiians. We get RT airfare, hotel and meals for four or five days for under $300 so long as we stay downtown. But nothing prohibiting us from renting a car and going to/from the strip, if need be.

Sounds interesting... perhaps I'd be interested in attending. How and where was it last year? Was it fun? What were the activities? Are there any celebrities that attend, besides bookmakers ofcourse?

Sooth...yes was fun last year it was at the Golden Nugget downtown vegas the food was great ....lots of prizes. I could have done without SHRINK doing the "Congo Dance" THAT I did not have to see, it was a bit UNNERVING.

But other then that it was a blast...we had books sponsor events like a free holdem Tourney and things like that

May I add the doorprizes were very generous. Someone got a Rolex and others got $1000 cash prizes. Too bad the only thing I won was a Fiest Football Annual (and Winkyduck won one too, lol).

How much did you guys spend last year in general?? Just wondering how many NBA plays I'd have to win to go....
icon_wink.gif
Not including money spent in the tables, just for hotel and food.

Not sure on the exact amounts Sub, but I think the rooms were somewhere around 69$ a night (special rate) Food was whatever you wanted to spend...there was an awesome dinner the actual night of the function...very nice in fact

Don't forget the monorail will be open next month. That should ease travel up and dwon the strip. Also, they have a bus that runs from the monorail end directly to downtown.
I need to go check my email now.

Dante,
Got your email and replied likewise. I will talk to someone tonight and get some preliminary details. Let me know if the location is OK.

first off - for me - vegas is a layup - only a 280 mile drive - so count me in - and this time i have to beat tekari in the poker contest (how i finished 2nd i will NEVER know - i NEVER played texass hold 'em before that - just watched it on espn). as for that guide - i think i gave 1 to you - but i also recall a few sitting on tables/chairs after people left.

for those who didn't go last time - it was quite a fiesta! the food was excellent and the scenery in vegas that time of year is stellar.

as soon as we know what weekend in august - that would be great for my bro is gonna get married labor day weekend and i don't know when the bachelor party will be. for me - the 2nd weekend might be best - but not mandatory (HS hoops has a "quiet" period starting in august - usually the 2nd weekend.
