[ The Russians can see that Obama is a farce, why can't the
"sheeple" (as the article states) see it? ]
American capitalism gone with a whimper

It must be said, that like the breaking of a great dam, the American decent into Marxism is happening with breath taking speed, against the back drop of a passive, hapless sheeple, excuse me dear reader, I meant people.

0.gif
</td> <td>
0.gif
</td> </tr> </tbody></table> True, the situation has been well prepared on and off for the past century, especially the past twenty years. The initial testing grounds was conducted upon our Holy Russia and a bloody test it was. But we Russians would not just roll over and give up our freedoms and our souls, no matter how much money Wall Street poured into the fists of the Marxists.
<!-- TEXT BLOCK 2 --> Those lessons were taken and used to properly prepare the American populace for the surrender of their freedoms and souls, to the whims of their elites and betters.
<!-- TEXT BLOCK 3 --> First, the population was dumbed down through a politicized and substandard education system based on pop culture, rather then the classics. Americans know more about their favorite TV dramas then the drama in DC that directly affects their lives. They care more for their "right" to choke down a McDonalds burger or a BurgerKing burger than for their constitutional rights. Then they turn around and lecture us about our rights and about our "democracy". Pride blind the foolish.
<!-- TEXT BLOCK 4 --> Then their faith in God was destroyed, until their churches, all tens of thousands of different "branches and denominations" were for the most part little more then Sunday circuses and their televangelists and top protestant mega preachers were more then happy to sell out their souls and flocks to be on the "winning" side of one pseudo Marxist politician or another. Their flocks may complain, but when explained that they would be on the "winning" side, their flocks were ever so quick to reject Christ in hopes for earthly power. Even our Holy Orthodox churches are scandalously liberalized in America.
<!-- TEXT BLOCK 5 --> The final collapse has come with the election of Barack Obama. His speed in the past three months has been truly impressive. His spending and money printing has been a record setting, not just in America's short history but in the world. If this keeps up for more then another year, and there is no sign that it will not, America at best will resemble the Wiemar Republic and at worst Zimbabwe.
<!-- TEXT BLOCK 6 --> These past two weeks have been the most breath taking of all. First came the announcement of a planned redesign of the American Byzantine tax system, by the very thieves who used it to bankroll their thefts, loses and swindles of hundreds of billions of dollars. These make our Russian oligarchs look little more then ordinary street thugs, in comparison. Yes, the Americans have beat our own thieves in the shear volumes. Should we congratulate them?

What goes around comes around. Reagan help bankrupt the Soviet Union ending the Cold War & dissolving the USSR. BO is almost singlehandedly laying the groundwork for this country bankruptcy.
Admittedly McCain would have been a push type president, nothing gained nothing lost. With Obama a lot is lost already with plenty more in the lost column to come.

The cited opinion piece is not authored by the Pravda editorial board, but is simply a guest columnist.

While he, and perhaps some people here in our friendly PoliticoPub might honestly believe that the USA is going in the shitter, there remain plenty of us who continue to look forward to the coming four and eight years as being the best ever in US history. (With the years that follow being even better yet).

Oh ok....So by summer of 2010 we'll all be living in conditions similar to the Wiemar Republic.

Got it.

When did forum friend TotalRecall start writing under the name of Stanislav Mishin?

For those scoring at home, the Wiemar Republic was in the 1920s the area of Europe now known as Germany.

too funny

Marxism? one can make that argument to the extent of government takeovers

Socialism? at neck breaking speed when you combine the takeovers with all the other policy proposals that make people like sweetpea excited. Credit card bill, bank fees, health care, mileage standards, greenhouse bill and of course, income redistribution.

Compare and contrast government involvement in your life with all this dumb as they fucking come bullshit with the ban on internet gambling. :ohno:

Barman,

Best ever? I hope so. But with a bankrupt federal government
borrowing even more money, somehow I think it's a bit
naive to think so.

For those scoring at home, the Wiemar Republic was in the 1920s the area of Europe now known as Germany.

To be exact, the Weimar Republic was Germany between 1919 and 1933 (smaller than in 1914 but still larger than today). At the end of WWI the Kaiser was chased away and a Republic proclaimed. The constitution was drafted in a constitutional assembly that took place in the city of Weimar. Germany's official name still was Deutsches Reich (German Empire), but the time period is usually called Weimar Republic.
With the economy shattered after WWI, heavy reparations to be paid and a global depression happening at the end of the 1920s, the Weimar Republic became infamous for high unemployment and unbelievable inflation.

So much for the history lesson, back to the thread. :)

As to socialism, in a truly socialist/marxist country the people own the means of productions. In America (and Germany and many other countries) what's happening is mainly that the people just pay for the debts of the companies (e.g. bail out the owners/shareholders who had in most cases reaped the benefits of the profits in the previous years). This is most certainly not the course of events Marx intended...

If you can find a quote of where he mentions the world is going to end, I am sure there is a date attatched to it.

However this is happening right before our very eyes

So does he put a date on when we will actually experience the "Complete Collapse of Our Constitution and Free Enterprise"?

rhetorical...I actually watched the first minute of the cited clip and Beck himself acknowledges with a smile that "he could be wrong".

But Speculatin' is what allows for him to bring on a poor beaten down ex-GM employee who uses her expert status to lend support to Beck's fantastic assertion that the country is going to hell in a hand basket.

I am SO glad that I personally invest about one minute per month on these type of television and radio shows.

Am I to assume you’re glad that it gives you more time to post more ad homonym rhetoric? If so, I’m glad you’re glad.

Managing Priorities is an important organizational skill in any enterprise, Dave - especially for a guy like me who is shut down for an afternoon while my two mowers get replacement transmissions installed.
