I think Runaway Jury is going to hit anywhere from 16 - 20 million. It has a large theater count plus John Grisham books are very popular and when they hit the big screen they always do well. Like: The Client, The Firm, A Time To Kill, Pelican Brief. His fans will be out in full force because the thirsty for one of his flicks. This I know. I'm a big fan. 18 million sounds about right. I think box office guru is going overboard by predicting 25 million.

whass your call, Oren?

Holy smokes... the buzz score for Texas Chainsaw is huge... it could possibly make 30 million... maybe Lee is right! I bet Runaway Jury is going to do well also.

the over/under is 26, a bit igher than I was hoping for. Just because it's tracking well doesn't mean it will break 26 million.... should do 24 or more though I'd guess.

Forget Chainsaw... Intertops has Runaway Jury with a bracket of 18 million or more +200 Those are great odds. Great odds. Almost all of John Grishem movies go over 20 million!!!!

hmmmm over 13 -150.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre has around the same buzz indicators as Kill Bill did last week, so it might go under 26? But, the buzz was inflated form all the Tarantinofan-boys, still, only 7 on the yahoo movie chart, same as Kill Bill. hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

One bet I know is going to make it is Runaway Jury. The book sold over a million copies... John Grishem has a huge fan base. They'll be out by the dozens!!! 15 -17 million for sure... with a good chance it goes over 18 million.

They republished the book with the movie poster on the front... and it's around 200 popularity wise at Amazon. which is pretty good. The only movies of John Grisham that did poorly where stationary films. One room type of flicks. The closest movie Runaway Jury looks like would be The Client and The Rainmaker... Rainmaker did over 16 million and The Client did like 25 + million. Think of all the extra business they'll get from people who practice Law. Upcoming Lawyers? Grisham's fans? The good movie trailer? John Cussacks fans? List goes on and on... I'm laying $80 on 18 million and more for +200... and $30 on 14m - 17.9 million with +125 as back up. Almost a gauranteed win!!! (Itops) Remember: People who are going to go see this film don't play around on the internet. think about it, oren. Easy money.

I'm just hesitant becasue I was thinking about banging that Tesxas Chainsaw massace prop, but now the line is too high, maybe I'll just stay conservative. Was hoping for another big pay-off.... I'm goign to wait for Oly's line open before making any mpre plays.

yeah I think it might make a little bit more than 15, just not feeling anything higher than that is a good bet.

I think so... and now the odds are +250 for 18 million or more. Like I said before, the Rainmaker made close to 17 million and that was with a smaller cast of stars... this one has got 3 top stars. Plus all the John Grishem fans. I can't believe the odds are +250 ... that's value. (i love that word)

well I hit the over 13 for Runaway Jury pretty good, but I'm not convinced it's not going to dissapoint. I think having Dustin Hoffman and Gene Hackman in it might actually work against it, these dinosaurs are more like box office kryptonite than gold nowadays. 13 is a great number though, so it's got a good shot I guess. Of course WSEX knows something we don't, hence the low number, but like I said I think it might do up to 15 even with bad tracking or whatever.

Oh yeah the trailer also gives away the entire plot so that's definitely taken a chunk out of it's potential. You'd think those clowns would learn by now we don't want to know what happens in the 3rd act until AFTER paying 10 freakin' dollars to be entertained.
