I was watching the Car/NO game at a bar with no sound. On 3rd down NO threw an incomplete pass, but there was a false start that ruled the play dead. Car could not decline. Why did they allow the play to continue if it was indeed a false start?

[h=3]3rd and 5 at CAR 15[/h]
(0:42 - 2nd) (Shotgun) PENALTY on NO-C.Fleener, False Start, 5 yards, enforced at CAR 15 - No Play

I don't know why they let the play continue but I was wondering if Turtle Fans were still celebrating last night's INCREDIBLE WIN over Georgetown? TURTLE POWER FO'EVER!

I believe they did blow the play dead and nobody heard the whistle. It was odd for the entire play to happen, but that was my only explanation. they didnt comment on it really on the broadcast

I was 6 rows behind the MD bench. One of the most exciting finishes ever for me.

That would make sense. I am surprised to hear that as Al is usually all over that.

WOW! I am so jealous! I was at The Turtle Club in Laurel - it felt like Cole Field House back in the Day - but not nearly as good as being there , at the Verizon Center, I am sure!

Nothing will ever top Cole... it was the greatest
Not even The Tick-Tock Club on a Sunday Morning about 1:35 AM after a double OT victory over the Dukies , too silly to stop handing out twenties like ones?

Cole was the Goat. Used to get ridiculously hot in there though. I was front row for the huge match-up vs Duke in '02. Still remember students chanting "Fuck Dunleavy" as his Dad walked down to sit behind Duke bench lmao.

I was a student from 99-03. I remember that game like it was yesterday.

Awesome, I was a student from 07 - '12. Best game was probably MD/Duke in Greivis's last home game. Also the Cliff Tucker game winner vs GT that year and when we upset UNC the year before and stormed the court.

Could be a long year this year if we struggled with GTown who lost to Arkansas St. I like our freshman tho

The Tucker winner was crazy. Greivis had banked it in from half court but Gary called a TO. Yeah will be a lot of ups and downs this year. I am hoping we just gave Gtown a serious letdown but tough to say this early in the year. Melo looks like Melo freshman year. All the freshman have impressed me in different ways so far. I had no idea Jackson could step back and hit 3's.
