Rubber Room Players

Last night I threatened to ban MFG if he was to post in Raiders TFZ thread. Upon further consideration, I was wrong & this will not be the case. The Rubber Room has a history of no moderating. That will not change today. There will be no restrictions on any posters to post in any thread they like.

Raiders did start a terrific thread down here and turned out to be one of the better threads daily in the forum, but it will not be moderated. If Raiders wants to start the threads in the sports forums he will get the protection of anyone else in the sports forums, but not in the Rubber Room.

3/4 of a year ago we had a similar incident where TRK was asking for us to keep henhouse from insulting him and his family in the Rubber Room and we did not oblige that request.

We will not change the rules for Raiders either.

Enjoy men and do what you need to do. This is the Rubber Room. The inmates run the asylum.

General- Assholes such as Shack, MFG and Kodiak can try all that they would like but they will not ruin the RR. They are Outhousers and the RR guys had enough respect to stay out of their serious threads. It just shows their character.

One reason I have come to respect General is he is not too big to change his mind on something. I really respect that. Some will realize they may not have considered all sides of something but stubbornly refuse to consider anything other than what they originally said. Desperately hanging on in fear of looking weak, not General. If he comes to the conclusion there is another side of an issue or a more fair way to decide something he will make the right call. Anyway I support his decision 100%. I am not afraid to admit I am a "Raiders fan" but what is fair to one is fair to all. The RR is basically an unmoderated forum, always been that way and probably always will be. Don't think we will have pictures of kiddie porn or blatant racism but just about anything else goes.

In this case what made it hard is Raiders has one of the best threads on the whole forum. I was both a frequent reader and contributor of it in the past, however there is no "safe zones" in the Rubber Room. If we make an exception today that TFZ is off limits because it is such a good thread than MFG can argue tomorrow his next thread should be in the "safe zone" as well. Anyone can then begin to argue "we've started a TFZ type thread of our own" and want it moderated as well. Then we are down here trying to grade what is a quality thread and what is not. Bad precedent to start, if you want protection post it in the pick forums. Reality is you do sort of hope people will respect a quality thread wherever it is but there will be no such legislation down here in the Rubber Room. I know all won't like it and we will lose a few but you are always going to piss someone off, we just try to be fair as possible and move on to the next item. Thanks.

General and Irish- Good call on both your parts. The TFZ thread will survive. We left the OH threads alone but these guys aren't men enough to leave the serious capping threads alone in the RR. We'll be OK.

Raiders, thanks man. I definitely do not want to lose guys like you or Will. Or MFG, Shack, Kodiak etc... I just think we are doomed if we start moderating certain threads down here. I enjoy the banter down here from you guys when you can keep it from spilling over upstairs. I appreciate you guys have all kept it out of the pick forums lately, it has not gone unnoticed. If you move the TFZ thread there we will moderate it as the newbies and other posters really prefer we keep those areas clean. Down here it is a free for all type of atmosphere. I have been involved in a few smack wars myself so I like the effort you guys put up at times.
