Royal - what's the deal with the 'And 1' promotion and bonuses?

Just asking about the new bonuses and promotions: 25% sign-up, 15% re-load on Tuesdays, and now the 'free half point on basketball ... free point on parlays ('And 1' promotion)??

First, can you explain in detail the whole 'And 1' promotion?

Secondly, is there any concern that these bonuses could be interpreted by some as a warning sign? And no, I'm not interested in trying to start any rumors, I have no agenda against Royal whatsoever. However, given that SBR currently has you rated at 'D', and given the 'wassa matta u, didnja see da warning signs??' posts that mushroomed after the Panam situation (interestingly, Panam was still rated as a 'B' on Jan. 17 at SBR), I felt asking this question was not unwarranted.

Comments from others welcomed - curious if this is being viewed as good aggressive marketing or something else.

JAzz,

This is just a guess, but the free 1/2 pt is only good on thursday. Therefore I'm "guessing" that you get 1 point on Thursday parlays. Not sure if that is on an "as needed" basis or if it is 1/2 pt per side or 1 pt per side on the parlay.

And 1 may be a take-off of when the guys makes the shot and is fouled.

Could not find any better definition on the web site and delted all there recent emails.

I'm always wary of any promotion for which no terms or conditions are indicated on the website. At least none that I could find.

I will say this: if they give a free full point on all basketball parlays at true -110 odds payout with no strings attached then they will lose. Hate to say it but they can't win doing that. That is beatable blind.

Considering they had slow-pay issues 2 mos ago it definately warrants concern. The slow-pay issue before that one was after they were giving away 25%.

In any promos defense, the rollover is just as important as the bonus % when calculating where the edge lies. Maybe someone can say what it is..

Looking at the promo page quickly it seems ....

the reload:
10% 3x rollover OR 15% Bonus Play (at most worth 3.3% or 7% cash bonus?)

Signup 25%
Is actually 10% 3x with 15% Bonus Play (worth 10.3% cash bonus)

I'd bet the parlay has some catches as well.

They specifically state '15%' reload on Thursdays - but thanks for the info on the sign-up. Still waiting on that promo info from them.

Jazz thank you for inquiring, the marketing department is always working at offering different promotions throughout the year, this is one of them. There are conditions to this promotion and they are as follows:

RULES and REGULATIONS

* Offer valid Fridays for regular season games.
* One promotional item per Friday per account.
* Free half points on basketball straight wagers are for full games only.
* Promotion not valid on or off of the one point spread.
* $300 deposit required.
* Wager limit $500 per bet.
* Promotion is call in only.
* Wager must by placed between 12am and 10pm est.
* Two plays per call required for free half point promotion.

The deal with the And1 promotion can be easily answered by simply picking up a telephone and asking them. As I too was curious, they told me the other day its a free half point for wagers placed on friday. Doesnt necessarily have to be a game that is played on friday though.

As far as the bonus question goes. The standard answer seems to always be if you are worried about getting paid at a book then dont play there. My worry is taken away by finding out if people are being paid and thus it pays to know people who are playing at a particular book and what their experiences are. The SBR can be a good source of information in some cases, but in one case theyve had playerstime.com listed as a book to stay away for at least 2 years that I know of now,and ive never had a problem in that whole span of time with them.

Thank you - I have to admit you won't go broke with that many conditions on that promo. Not sure how that info explains about the parlays exactly, but I could always call. However, since on the basketball half-points you seemingly are adopting Rio's promotion with the same limits but requiring people to call to get it, it's not really an inducement to me since it's only one day - but, hey, it beats you not offering it, right?

"Promotion not valid on or off of the one point spread."

Meaning, you couldn't take the Lakers -.5 instead of -1, for example?

shark: thanks for the feedback. Yep, I am familiar with the telephone method but the point here instead was to get the details once from the people who are offering it, rather than wasting more than one person's time who might want to find out about it. Also, some people surf this site at work where ringing up a bookie isn't the wisest career choice, if you catch my drift. Finally, having Royal post the details ensures we lose nothing in the translation.

Thats good to hear omnivorous frog. My past experience with getting paid by royal via neteller has always been quick as well. But now I see they require a phone call to be made to get a neteller payout and thus I made that call 5 hours ago and still nothing showing. Frog, do you know if your neteller payouts have all been paid out late in the afternoon?

I cannot answer what is happening today. I do know they used to be auto at Neteller merchant but now you have to call. I call in, ask for supervisor in accounting and they transfer when I am on phone most of the time. Once they ran out of money there, but that was the exception. Hope that is some help. well jazz, here is some news that could be perceived as relative to your bonus inquiry. My request for a neteller payout via telephone over 5 hours ago will not be processed today. Also, was just told by a cust serv rep that all payout requests via neteller could take 1-2 days to be paid and they no longer do payouts on the weekend. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
