Rousey says she could beat 'anyone,' including Mayweather, in no-rules fight.

Ronda Rousey refused to back down in her bitter feud with Floyd Mayweather when asked about the task of facing him in a no-rules fight, the latest jab in her public verbal slugfest with the pound-for-pound boxing champion.

Monday night when she was asked by a fan in Reddit's Ask Me Anything chat if she could take Mayweather in a no-holds-barred bout, Rousey did not pull any punches.

"Floyd is one of the best boxers of all time," said Rousey, the UFC female bantamweight champion. "He would definitely beat me in a boxing match. I unfortunately don't get into 'matches.' I fight for a living.

"In a no-rules fight, I believe I can beat anyone on this planet," she said. "Boxing is a sweet science with strict rules that I respect very much and aspire every day to improve at. But you said ruleless fight, and that's my honest answer."

Rousey's comment comes almost a month after she told reporters after winning an ESPY award for Best Fighter, for which Mayweather was a nominee: "I wonder how Floyd feels being beat by a woman for once. I'd like to see him pretend to not know who I am now."

Rousey said she had been waiting for the right opportunity to call out Mayweather, who in a July 2014 interview said of her, "I don't even know who he is."

"I know for damn sure he knew who I was," Rousey told reporters after winning her ESPY. "He was running against me for Best Fighter that year, and he had signed MMA fighters, so his feigned ignorance was meant to really be a snarky remark to me.

"I don't let those kind of things slide, but I'm also a patient girl," she said. "I'm not the kind of chick you make snarky remarks about. I waited a whole year to say something. And you know what? If I didn't win Best Fighter this year, I would have waited two years or three years."

Rousey (12-0) is the only women's bantamweight champion in the UFC's history. A two-time U.S. Olympic judoka, she has dominated her new sport. She defended her title by knocking out Bethe Correia only 34 seconds into the first round at UFC 190 in early August.

Rousey is widely seen as a fighter who is redefining the sport and has won 11 of her 12 fights in the first round, going into the third round once.

An average Rx'er could beat her ass. She's a girl.

You beat me to it.

I like Rousey a lot but i hate when she acts stupid like this.

Not only do i believe the average guy could whip her ass, but below average as well.

Theres a woman's strength, and I don't care how much she works out, and there's a man's strength.

Big difference between the two...

I don't get this fascination over her. I don't really pay much attention to women's sports but I do know that she has never been hit as hard as Mayweather could hit her.

I also know she has never been hit as hard as I could hit her.

Remember when Michelle Wie was going to take over the PGA tour?

The UFC has become a joke of many sorts, and its been this way for the past several years and getting worse. As for Rhonda, she would have no chance against a fit in shape man with a tad of self defense and offense.

I have never heard of this girl until a week ago when 4 or 5 threads were made about her.

What's next? Drafting that Monet Davis girl in the MLB draft because she had a good Little League World Series.

Next on ESPN 8, ladies ultimate fighting. Good Gawd, I could choke that girl out while fingering her ass.

ladies tennis players continue to closing the gap some. My data point is the best girl in the state of Minnesota (yes I know the really great players dont stay here in Minnesota they move to Florida and train full time) but that being said the best player in the state for girls, played boys tennis last Spring, went undefeated at number one singles and finished losing in state semi finals to the eventual state champion as I recall. so that is not Dave vs Goliath at that age she had a shot against all the boys in the state here same rules same everything. Tennis ladies have closed the gap for the fvery very very top players. no im not saying Serena could beat a ATP man in the top 50.

Tennis isn't a physical altercation though. Big difference. Everyone here would probably lose to 500 girls that will never become money making pros in tennis.

Less then 50% of therxers could beat her.

I would say 25% tops And that's generous .

All her mayweather talk is silly though

Respect your opinion chop but disagree 100%.

Most of us could beat her azz almost by choice of how we wanted to.

Box with her and she's out cold as soon as we land one good punch.

Lock up with her and body slam her, choke her out, or whatever you choose.

She's beating other weak-azz WOMEN.

Again, a woman can pump weights all they want & they STILL aren't stronger than an average guy...

Exactly. A guy benches 200, he is weak; a girl does it and somehow considered a freak.

I have put dozens of girls in chokeholds, none could get out. (Kidding)

Honestly, if you had a man who matched Rhonda on all weigh ins , height and etc .. I say she still loses about 60-80 % or higher - I could be giving her too much credit.

Guys are just build differently and right now, Ronda can just charge at her opponents not afraid of getting knocked out but imagine if she does that to a guy who is trained.

I have trouble believing a guy wouldn't be able to knock her out but hey, anything is possible I guess.

But we won't every have a chance to see it, I don't think.

Yes men in general are far superior to women but we are talking about the exceptions right now.

Yes her talk about beating mayweather is comedy at its finest .

But let's not compare Mayweather to the average RX poster.
