Great precedent they are setting: Supposedly they want to protect their players health with the new rules, but suspensions for throwing at people have come down to 3 games, but hey, why even bother with that: Just walk up to someone and punch him straight in the face, 8 games is what you get.
And yes, it was already an altercation and shoving match, but that suspension is a bad joke, esp. considering that he is a repeat offender and already explicitly said that he won't change, would do it again and considers this part of the game.

Searched fairly extensively for a camera angle that shows what I believe to be Rougned flooring a guy on the opposing team, thats where the crowd *gasps* late in this clip....but to no avail. Looks like this is the only camera angle available and panned away from that side of the mashup of players just prior to whoever landing that haymaker that results in dude on the ground dazed and massaging his jaw. Looks like Rougned had ventured to that very area though, when the blow was thrown and it does appear he is in his trademark backpedaling deal so serious evidence exists that Rougned laid the lumber.

Blue Jays manager John Gibbons was suspended three games, according to Fox Sports. He had been ejected earlier in Sunday's game but returned to the field.
Say what you want......He spiked him on purpose.
