This might be the toughest pick of the bowl season. Both these teams mirror eachother. I don't know enough about Stanford to get a good read on this game. MSU will be missing there starting MLB which is a big loss for them, especially with how Stanford likes to pound the ball on the ground.
Is Stanford really that more physical than Ohio State? Because MSU stood up pretty good to them. I know a lot of this MSU+7 comes from the Big Ten playing so poorly in the Rose Bowl the last 10 years I think they are like 1-9? I really want to jump on MSU +7 in this one . I need to hear some arguments on why i shouldn't do this. I really see this as being a 3-5 point win for Stanford. They aren't an explosive offensive team and they only beat ND by 7.
MSU has a lot of motivation in this one being there first trip to the Rose Bowl since 1988.

I liked MSU at +3.5. I don't think either offense moves the ball well. Close game all the way.

Stanford is my best bet of the bowl season.. Bought 1/2 point to 3... played it again at 4.. been teasing to a 1/2 point the last couple of days... I see this as a 14-21 pt win for Stanford

I think Stanford rolls quite easily in this one.

how are we supposed to talk an MSU fan off of playing MSU? :)

to me, Stanford has looked pretty solid / strong on both sides of the ball. MSU struggles moving the ball.

think Stanford has played better competition this year, with the PAC 10 being one of the top 2 conferences

and the Big 10 doesn't really do well during bowl season overall

The thing with these bowl games is there's not much from a trend side. It's all about how motivated a team and the coaches come out, and nobody really knows until the game starts. Coin flips IMO. I will say Wisconsin usually always comes to play.

The PAC-12 is dominating the bowl season once again. What else do you need to know?

Well, 8 PAC 12 teams did get invited to bowl games.

Winners:
Washington
Oregon
Arizona
UCLA
USC
Oregon State

Losers:
Arizona State
Washington State

Yet to Play:
Stanford

My mistake, 6-2

These ridiculous bowl tie-ins are killing the bowl slate. The second best conference in football has had eight games prior to 1/1, which tells you all you need to know about the competition they have faced. I wouldn't put too much stock in a 6-2 record when the opponents were, Colorado St., Fresno, Boise, BYU, Texas, Texas Tech, BC and VT.

It's a real shame we couldn't have seen UCLA, Oregon or ASU facing better opponents today or later in the bowl slate. UCLA-LSU would be a hell of a game to watch today, instead they get a horrible VT team and were forced to watch Iowa or some other B1G representative.

I noticed they are not playing many SEC teams, opting for lessor teams from the MW and B12 conferences. Not really much to brag about IMO.

You have a choice who you play in the bowl game?
Obviously the Pac 12 would get far more exposure and cred if they had better bowl games, thank the Pac 12 Commish for settling for lessor games. Then again, they can't get their channel on Directv so no one east of Colorado knows how good they are.

I'll never understand how I got +7.5 on this MSU game.
