I thought I had heard a stat last year that said rookie QB's have NEVER won their first start during week 1 on the road.

Never? Really?

Can anyone confirm this stat?

Think I heard it last year on ESPN after Cam Newton put up a great performance against the Cards on the road, but came up just short. So consider the source.

Luck, RG3, Tanehill, and Russell Wilson all open up on the road. Of those 4, only Wilson and the Seahawks are favored.

Another interesting stat when looking at that game, Skelton was 5-0 straight up as a starter last year at home...

So Seahawk backers tread lightly??

another site has them 2-13 SU, 6-9 ATS with sanchez and dalton only qb to win first road start since 2007. also says 0-8 SU / 2-6 ATS as at least a TD dog

no doubt dalton won at cleveland game 1 LY

Fading SEA week 1 turned out well for AZ backers.

If you faded all 4 rookie QB's in their 1st start on the road, you went 3-1 ATS yesterday.

Can't remember where I read it, but I believe that QB's (rookie or not) making their NFL debut in any week are around 30% ATS.
