I agree with the player on this one. He put the money in play and by the way, if you made a bet and the game later got canceled that should count toward a rollover.

call 5 dimes boss, tony, directly. tell him your problem in a straight forward
way from your perspective. tony has world class listening, nuturing,
and comprehension skills in addition to being a great advocate for
the player. you'll make a life long friend with your query and get a
fair resolution.

last time i asked tony a simple question about one of their policies,
he closed my account.

Are you saying he is a Hitler like figure?

Lol... what a reputation that guy has. I guess having a shitload of $ just makes people worst.

Here is an interesting way to handle this IF the parties trust each other.

You wanted to transfer money to someone but cant yet till $500 is reached.
Place his bets for him and as soon as rollover is reached send the amount he is due.

Appreciate the offer, I have already met the rollover though.

That woulda been great cause I tricked off part of it with a losing night last night. !<<)

A few questions.

1. The 1m tournament did it come close to meeting the guarantee or was it far short? Reason I ask is that I have seen these smaller networks offer tournaments like this and since there is no way they are going to meet the guarantee, like magic the software has a hiccup.

2. How did you deposit the $500? Credit Card, WU, MG or another method?

One thing about 5Dimes whether you like them or not (general statement to all) is that they are pretty consistent on following their rules. Very very few exceptions are made if any. Tony isn't much of a people person at all but has kept the book in good standing and offers a ton more than other sites combined.

I can't fault him for this.

I look at it like this. You make a deposit for $550. You bet $550 to win $500 on Wisconsin to beat UNLV. Wisconsin is killing them than with 10 minutes left in the game the power goes out in the stadium and the game is declared over due to not being able to get the power back on. The books use the rule it didn't go 55 minutes so there is no action on the bet. Your rollover isn't met because the game has no action, no result.

The same thing happened in the tournament, you deposited, entered and then the software messed up, thus the tournament became no action, no result.

It's not 5 Dimes fault, it's not their software, it's the network that provides the software and the support for keeping it running. 5 Dimes is just a redirect and using shared software.

While I understand the frustration, their call is the right one.

1) understood, no that's not what happened though. they were closing in on the guarantee and would have exceeded it
2) credit card

It's not 5 Dimes fault, it's not their software

That's the part I disagree with. They have to stand by the provider they have chosen and that they tout...for better or for worse

This is where we will disagree.

5D has no control over the software at all. They are primarily a skin of the network albeit a super affiliate. They have costs that they pay the network ie, tournament fees, tournament guaranteed shortages and other associated network share costs for promotions and other fees. In return they get a certain % of the rake generated by the 5D players whether it be from ring games or tournaments. The network keeps the rest and typically deals with all areas of support.

5D and other rooms on that network aren't happy what happened with the software as they lost revenue on the entry fee for the tournament. They are in no position to pay out anything based on chip count or anything else. That is a network call all the way. 5D could've done something I'll agree with that, however they stood to their rules tried and true.

One other thing I forgot to mention in my first reply. 2+2 and the RX aren't going to be able to do anything, threatening to go post at forums doesn't scare places as it once did. They laugh and frankly don't care. They are going to still get their business one way or another.
