No need to cap this too deeply, both teams are well known.

The trends i "cherry pick" to back this play are:

Cavaliers are 3-9 ATS in their last 12 Thursday games.
Rockets are 25-9-3 ATS in their last 37 Thursday games.
Rockets are 5-2-1 ATS in their last 8 home games.
Home team is 5-1 ATS in the last 6 meetings.
Cavaliers are 2-7 ATS in the last 9 meetings.
Cavaliers are 0-4 ATS in the last 4 meetings in Houston.

On the court, this will be a test game for the new look Rockets, who have won their last 5 home games. If the Rockets were really a patsy Vegas would have this line -10 ala clippers last night. For whatever reason the Cavs have not played their best ball in Houston.

More often than not, Thursday night public games are good for the bookie.

Head to head trends are one thing, but I don't have any faith in trends related to a particular day of the week. Is there really something about Thursdays that makes Cleveland play poorly or Houston play well? I don't see any logic in it.

its funny about trends because i can post 20 to show the Cavs will lock this up.

The "why" of a trend is an unknown quantity, but the fact is, it happens. Lots of things happen in life that we can't explain. & an explanation does not bring more clarity as to the outcome of a sports pick. The fact is, Cavs suck balls & Rockets play well ATS on Thursdays. So thats enough for me. :103631605

No magic involved. These are players. They know they have lost 8 in a row away on Thursday so they feel unlucky and play worse.
