[/FONT]Gregg Allman, the legendary Allman Brothers Band co-founder and father of southern rock, has died at the age of 69 at his home in Savannah, Georgia on Saturday. His death comes just two months after he cancelled all tour dates for the year. The father-of-five was married five times, including to the singer Cher (pictured together main) - the mother of his son Elijah Blue Allman. Born in Nashville, Allman founded the Allman Brothers Band in 1969 with his brother Duane, who was tragically killed in a motorcycle crash two years later as the group began to find mainstream success. During his life Allman faced multiple health issues. A former alcoholic and drug addict, he contracted hepatitis C and underwent a liver transplant in 2010.
