Hey, are the phones still working? If so, just call. As long as they take your call, you should try to give them the benefit of the doubt and not make things worse.
Players pulling out, just add pressure to the books to give in. Let's say a book has 1000 players. Would you want them to take $30 out of each players account to pay the hackers? Or how about eliminating some free payouts?
Players and books have to realize that only a cooperative effort by EVERYONE is the way to handle this. Any inconvenience of a player using the phone versus the internet for a few days is small compared to the state we would be in if the hackers are allowed to win.

Java, I played over the phone this past weekend.
I would add that all the clerks handled themselves quite well.
But I won't be this weekend which begins with the Thursday game!!!!
And bottom line is I/we really don't know that these guys are being attacked, now do we!!!
So while they are offline, I might has well go knock down a 20% bonus someplace!!
I can always come back right...
Plus I have NO obligation to stand by any of these books in this kind of situation (assuming they have been attacked)
I am here to make money and If they don't/can't offer internet service, they are of NO good to me!!

As for desire to switch books, I understand your position, but another book you use could be next.

RIO should be commended for NOT caving into the pressures made from EXTORTIONISTS and you are starting a thread COMPLAINING about RIO?
God, if you only KNEW how much MONEY RIO has lost to hold itself up to higher principles than being blackmailed...
