This was posted across the street by Rio Shill who claims to be employed by Rio. Consider this whole post a quote and take it for what its worth as I don't know the poster. Things have been posted on less merit and I think its relevant right now. In short it says Rio is gambling with our money and borrowing to to pay its players. Rio may prefer to call this acquiring investors.

Let me start by saying that the only difference between a lowly shill like me and 80% of the other people who disseminate hate around this site is the fact that I am 1000% against haters, and the fact that at least I am honest about the fact that I am a shill. Yes, I am a paid shill. However, I wouldn't take the job if I felt for one second that anyone would ever get slow paid let alone no paid. I have been affiliated with Rio for almost 5 years, and not one person can say he has been slow paid or no paid. I know for a fact that when Dave was running the credit that one player stiffed the company for almost 1 million. Rio borrowed money to pay this debt, and has paid back everyone. When Billy Walters beat Rio for almost a million, rio had to borrow $$ then, and paid it back. At no time was ONE player slow paid. the bottom line is that despite any ups and downs, Rio has always done the right thing. Yes, I am a shill. However unlike all of the other shills who hide in deceit, I admit where I am coming from. Skeptics, instead of jumping to conclusions based on inaccurate information, look at the facts. rio/skybook has given away and will continue to give away hundreds of thousands of dollars in free contests and free half points. rio's sister book IIS has dropped its juice to 105 to be matched only by Pinnacle. For all of you intelligent people with the aptitude to read between the lines (hate) and can see that this site is permeated with nothing but shills using hateful lies to inflict damage, feel free to check out www.betrio.co.cr or www.skybook.com or www.iisportsbook.com .You will be very happy with the service and will be paid promptly. skybook's lines are featured on www.donbest.com (for 5 years), www.usatoday.com , and www.foxsports.com ,
For those of you who are ignorant enough to believe the lies of these Russ shills/disgruntled employees, jealous people, etc. think for a second--would USA TODAY and FOX SPORTS align themselves with a sportsbook that doesn't pay or is unstable? GIVE ME A BREAK. The bottom line here is that it is up to you to decide for yourself. Do you choose to believe all the bitter liars with ZERO credibility? Or do you want to believe in USA TODAY and FOX SPORTS? The choice is yours.

What is your point bill? ( i mean MW shill). All I did was state fact about Rio's history and their honorability. They ran into problems in their past, and always did the right thing. If you have a problem with that, then you are obviously just a shill for russ. At least i have the balls to admit that I am a shill. You are a BLATANT shill (Everyone knows it) and a coward who tries to purport that you are a real person. Everyone here knows that it isn't true. Get a life you loser

BILL, YOUR POSTS REALLY DO SEEM TO GET WEAKER AND WEAKER. WHAT EXACTLY IS YOUR POINT? YOU ARE SEEN IN EVERY SINGLE THREAD JUMPING ON THE ANTI-RIO BANDWAGON, AND IT SEEMS OBVIOUS TO ME ALSO THAT YOU ARE A SHILL. HOW DOES BORROWING MONEY AT TIMES TRANSLATE INTO GAMBLING WITH PLAYERS' MONIES? DO YOU ACTUALLY CONSIDER YOURSELF AN INTELLIGENT INDIVIDUAL. IT IS WIDELY KNOWN THAT CRIS' HEAD GUY HAS BORROWED MILLIONS AND MILLIONS. FEEL FREE TO ASK MICKEY. JAZZ' HEAD GUY BORROWED ALMOST 5 MILLION WHEN HE HAD PROBLEMS, AND IS BACK ON TOP. BORROWING MONEY DOES NOT CORRELATE TO BAD PEOPLE, ACTUALLY IT IS THE OPPOSITE. BOOKS THAT WILL GO OUT AND BORROW IF THINGS ARE BAD ARE #1 WITH ME. RIO, CRIS, AND JAZZ: 3 BOOKS THAT HAVE BORROWED, AND 3 BOOKS THAT ARE ON THE TOP OF MY LIST. IT IS THE BOOKS THAT PACK IT UP AND CLOSE THE DOORS WHEN THINGS GO BAD THAT ARE THE ONES THAT WORRY ME. BILL, I HAVE TO AGREE WITH RIO SHILL, PERHAPS YOUR NAME SHOULD READ BILLDOZER SHILL AND THEN PEOPLE MAY START LISTENING TO YOU.

Bill - I have to agree with them on this, there's probably not a book alive that has not borrowed money at some point. The books that do that show they are going to stay in business and will take the necessary steps when disaster strikes. Rio got stiffed for a HUGE amount on the credit side but not once missed a payment to anyone. Doubt they ever will. It's not books who will borrow money you need to worry about, it's the books who head for the airport at the first sign of trouble that are a concern. And by the way this happened a while back in case you didn't know, not like this is a fresh concern.

I am convinced this whole thing stems from the fact Rio quit advertising at MW two years ago. They were a great book then according to Russ but without the check coming in is now a shit book who is out to stiff everyone. All sites probably show some favoritism towards their advertisers to some degree but none are as blatant as Russ. He was the marketing manager for SecureBuxx and they stiffed everyone in this business, he never saw a thing. His partner shared an office with NAB when they went down and took our money, Russ never saw or heard a word. In fact they were actively seeking out people on his forum to send money right before the demise. It's not so much how much he "misses" with his advertisers as it is how much he suddenly "knows" when they quit advertising with him. Typical Russ trick, bully books and cause as much harm as he can in hopes they will start paying him again. He can't see a damn thing with the guys sending him a check but has a million contacts out there who can discredit a reputable book who has never slowpaid anyone when they leave.

Major doesn't even like me nevermind pay me.

Say what you will about borrowing. What does it say that you have to borrow to pay a client? YOU DONT HAVE THE MONEY!

There is no reason to take it personal Shill. To us you are seen in no different light than other books in your position. To people that do not know you what makes you so better than the impecable BlueMarlin?

I have no point or agenda. Times are tough. You could show us proof of this continuing line of credit or the monthly audit that we get when books are already gone. You could show us financial papers.

You don't have to call me names, You could just relay this message back to base and consider this good advice. Give the bettor some reassurances. Its not personal. When you attack questions with insults it just makes you look like you are hiding something.

Even the people who don't like me know I'm not a shill.

Being a shill doesn't pay enough.

Why not get you hero Spiro on the phone and see what rio's credit is there. I am sure that you will be shocked at how high it is. In terms of the issues with sportsbook review, John is going to CR next week to look at the financials himself. Additionally, the shrink has offered to put 500k in escrow against anyone who wants to bet that rio/skybook is going under. when john gets back from CR and upgrades Rio/skybook to A status, I wonder if Mr. Billshill will be thinking of a line from a great movie that said "Do you like apples? Well how about them apples." It will be enjoyable to see you humiliated in front of all of the RX readers. I am looking forward to it. I guess after you eat the humble pie you will just do what everyone else does that gets abashed here--pack it up and move in with the dregs at MW. lololol.

And by the way let me add on this Rio stuff. I don't ever want to discourage anyone (even Russ) from speaking his mind. I posted over there several times in the past and he used to give real general worded warnings, "everyone keep balances low". When pressed he would say he did not want to start trouble over a rumor he couldn't substantiate, that's when you knew it was an advertiser. If it isn't then you get what we are going through now, 10 threads over the week-end all on the same topic about Rio. Especially when it is a book who has "scorned" Russ and used to advertise there. Those are the worst one's for him to deal with, folks who no longer pay. It's one thing to post a genuine warning, I think he has done that and his readers are aware of his fears. It's another thing entirely when you have an agenda and you can't get enough of bashing a book. Big difference. I have noticed when Russ attacks anyone who dares not agree with him into this war he has going on this is an agenda, not a concern for players monies. It's much bigger than that to him. Last I saw he was using his forum to mention I got paid through Rio, according to him that is why I won't agree with him on this dog and pony show. The old he's on payroll trick to try and discredit others. I do not get paid from Rio in any fashion, that is another bald faced lie from this clown. There's a difference between something legit being posted where someone is concerned over our funds and a site owner without a check he used to get - we're seeing it right now. 'Nuff said.

PS - I don't see any clear agenda with Bill Dozier. He seems to speak his mind from what I can see. If he is a shill I haven't caught it yet other than having his own forum. Big deal if that's all it is. Maybe he isn't used to seeing the Russ everyone else in this industry is starting to see.

OK so books like Marlin arent at fault for what went wrong they just didnt have enough borrowing power???
What Australia has going with reserve fund is for wimps?

As far as MW..
I simply don't care about the political BS. I have my opinion of him just as I do every poster and thats how I regard his info. When he posts something I consider it for what its worth like I do for all posters.

If you wanted to pay attention to some things over there you'd see that we are often on opposite sides of the fence.

I recognize your opinion Patty Mac. Do you really fault me for questioning a book that showed what I consider to be high risk signs? Maybe it is not their fault and they wouldn't get any of this if they were in Australia and Marlin and GA didnt go down but so what....

Like I said its not personal. I dont care if everyone of their employees comes in here and craps in my mouth, if I see they are solid and they will still have me I'll play there. Call me a tough grader if ya want but its raining sportsbooks this week. So they can just take it like a man and whether the storm or offer something else.

LOL
If John comes back with a nice audit I will probably just post up at Rio.
If Ken offers a reserve account of 500k I would ask to see an audit then post up.
You startin to get it?

I like Olympic because they gimmie early looks but Pinnacle's people are my hero. Those are the guys who could win on this side if they wanted.

And Patty MAck
I really don't get concerned with the P.I stuff people try to get into. No one you care about listens to rumors. It just makes them look bad. I'm the first to shoot someone down when the try to start a rumor (with no facts) about someone owning a book or vice versa. You won't find a post where I attack another poster much less talk about one even when I accidently come acrossed things. I tried to do a lil interview with a bookie and all he wanted to do was talk gossip. I didn't get anything I wanted to use after an hour.

Outside of mods and Shills I have been around a while compared to the avg life span of a gambling posters. So I will just be going by my own experiences. (putting my dick and ruler away now)
Heres an idea, (not meant to be a shot)
If the books had to stick up for themsleves like they do at the start of their demise maybe we would all get the answers we seek.

I gotta go to bed. I'll wear my piss shield in the mornin and check us out.

Bill - for starters what makes you think I am upset with you about any of this? Read my posts again, the only thing I said is we don't agree on this one. That happens, it's not a big deal to me. I enjoy these sort of talks rather than your dad is a drunk and your mom is a whore talk some places thrive on. I am happy to be able to express my thoughts on Rio, if wrong I will be forced to eat a lot of crow. Not to mention probably lose a few bucks, don't think I am wrong though. One thing I have learned in all this forum stuff is the more opinions we get out here the better off we all are. The trick is to be able to weed through agendas versus what someone really thinks. To me this Rio stuff is a clear Russ agenda more than a genuine concern about the stability of the book. Maybe it's a coincidence he has missed every book going down in the last 3 years yet somehow has the goods on Rio. Maybe it's also a coincidence they left his site and no longer are paying him too. Who knows? Seen stranger things, just my belief is this is an agenda about an old advertiser like we saw in Bodog and others more than anything else. I don't like the bash stuff between the sites but that is my opinion on this, I will present it even though I know some won't like it and may look to "make me pay" for saying it. LOL. Either way for the record I am not the least bit upset with your post, if it's what you believe then you have every right to present it.

As far as more information from the books and all that, no one here would love that more than me. As players we have every right to question anything we want, whether or not we get answers is another story. The problem is people with agendas want to pick and choose when they ask for stuff. Why wasn't Russ up Gamblers Avenue's ass like this about who the owner is? Or Blue Marlin? Or any of the other books he has? I don't have a problem with more dialogue, just the selective enforcement from folks with an agenda is where the problem lie. Also for the record it is true about borrowing power in many ways. Someone with a good name will always have an out in this business, just the way it is. I don't like to throw names out but guys like Spiro, Skippy and some others will always have a life jacket if somehow it were ever needed. You never know in this business but their reputation speaks for them. Pop was a small local bookie for a lot of years. He would always say all I have right now is a good name, don't have much else but I couldn't ask for anything more. Not ashamed to admit it pulled him through several tight spots in his life. Most long time books have been through more than you can imagine at one time or another. To have a good name is a valuable commodity, they will all tell you the same thing. Anyway as far as Blue Marlin we probably don't know all there is to know on this yet. Maybe he didn't want to go on? I just got a feeling there is a lot of questions yet to be answered. Thanks for the posts.

What made you think that I thought you were upset with me?
icon_wink.gif
not so

Was a lil irritated that I aimed to talk about a book's factors and most of this thread is about Russ who in no way influences what I said.

I actually started sniffing around when Rio called me 2 times in the same day beggin me to deposit yelling -105 WITH a bonus. Saw a lil more signs here and there.

If it seems like I have it out for RIO thats BS but it may corrolate with having to respond to heavy Shillin and telemarketing.

BILL,

I would gladly wager anyone that RIO will be around longer than MW or Majorbetting...

The truth is that Russie Poo would never have started these rumors had RIO renewed their advertising with them. I believe the word for this is EXTORTION!!!

The same is true with BHB and all advertisors should take note of what will happen if you decide not to continue advertising with them!

I also know for a fact that one of the owners of RIO wagers more in one week than Majorbetting's entire bankroll..

A comment on borrowing money now...

CRIS also borrowed money recently as well as Cascade...

Does that mean they are in trouble?
icon_rolleyes.gif

Personally, I judge a sports book on its borrowing power, too...

THE SHRINK

Ken, When Rio's ad campaign was (early in April?) up a nervous poster who noticed they weren't listed up top asked why. Russ said good book, just ad deal.

I have searched and searched on MW and have not found another comment until late August about reports of trouble. (conflicting answers to the ownership question, etc.) Posters whom even you respect joined in to say yes, Rio definitly has some issues.

Now how is this extortion?

Shrink,
There is NO rumor of which I base anything on. I spent the last 3 posts here saying Russ's comments had nothing to do with my views.

So can we talk about something these days without gettin all cloak and dagger? I mean WTF?

No offense, Im guessin you just read the top of the thread and went with it.

Not having it but saying you can get it if you want to I like....
Saying my parachute doesn't always open but I'm always able to land in the water.

I mean how are bettors supposed judge the the book on their perceived credit? People should play at books with reserve funds and books who have rich buddies?

I just call em as I see em. I got nothing against em. I may play there someday if they will let me.

Minnow - who owns Gamblers Avenue? I know they were there a while, did you ever find out? Was it even an issue then or an effort made to find out? Who owns Easybets? Or MVP? Or TCB? Or 1st Fidelity? Has MW always been a stickler for who owns a book? I am really curious here as I don't see that stuff posted much. With Ron and JC in the lock up a lot of people prefer to be low key about their roles, never noticed it was such a problem to this magnitude until now. Do you really feel Rio should get in touch with Russ and present to him who the owner is of their outfit? Truth is if a book wants to stiff you it makes NO difference who the owner is. None. If the book is going to do right they are going to do right, they want to stiff you then they will do that as well. Ownership issues is just another avenue to attack these people IMHO. There is not one fact that even remotely ties them in to any sort of financial trouble. If there is let's hear it.

you guys are a bunch of kids.

All you can talk about is eachother's sites. I made some good points and you guys are telling me they originate from Russ's mouth.

and patty is still mooning me!

I don't think it was a matter of publicly naming names Pat. The point of the matter was a large sum borrowed by the owners, who then claimed not to actually be the owners after all. The lender was allegedly left holding the bag and as far as I know, still holding.

My main point is this accusation of "extortion" of books who quit advertising. How about the owner of a rival forum calling every advertiser trying to "extort" them into leaving us?

If your techs still allow you to access our site do a search yourself. We might have some ugly threads, but they are all there... nothing embarrassing has been "bodogged". Please show me when and where this extortion took place.

Engaging in excessive and wanton speculative activites betrays a reckless nature that is highly undesirable and at odds with the fiduciary repsonsibilities of the modern day bookmaker.

Bill, Shrink is right about borrowing. It doesn't have to mean that you're broke or gambling. Simply put, borrowing can be a good investment if you feel that you can earn a higher rate of return putting that money to use than you are payin in interest. It's a business decision.

Does it betray a reckless nature, or does it portray one? Just askin'.

Oh, and he said it was one of the owners that wagers big, not necessarily the book itself. There is a difference. As long as he's using his own personal funds then it's his own business and should not effect Rio.
