Rick Nash has given Columbus management a list of teams that he will wave his no-trade clause for.

Nash will most likely be heading to a new team before the deadline.
What's your guess?

Here's Nash's list
1. Bruins
2. Rangers
3. Sharks
4. Kings
5. Leafs

How about:
Jack Johnson $3.5 signed thru 2014/15
Jonathan Bernier $.975 signed thru 2012/13
Justin Williams $3.9 signed thru 2014/15
2012 First round draft pick..(probably will be around 14th over all)

For
Nash $7.5 signed thru 2014/15
Curtis Sanford $.9 UFA

By the way that list is "believed" to be the list. It could also include Vancouver.

If I'm Columbus I'm jumping at this...perhaps the Bernier for Sanford is not in the Kings best interest.

Replace Williams with Penner and you have a deal

I thought about Penner but I don't think Cbus would accept this deal with Penner instead of Williams. Especially considering Penner is a UFA, (and playing piss poor despite that fact).

It's either Willams or Dustin Brown. If I'm the KIngs I don't want to lose Brown.

Kings are decent in net in the farm, so taking Curtis isn't that bad. Bernier will be a #1 in this league though, and well worth it. Jack Johnson is also good and cheap. This is a good deal for the Jackets and makes sense for the Kings who desperately need scoring. It does seem a bit much, but I'm a Kings fan, so I'm a bit partial.

I can't see how any of the other teams on that list besides the Kings could swing this deal. Kings have enough cap space coming up next year to accept that salary and they also have enough prospects to be able to swing a trade this big without it completely mortgaging their future. But I think The Rangers have to make a big run at this opportunity. With Lundqvist in nets and a pretty solid D, adding Nash would make them the team with the best chance to come out of the East, even over Boston, IMHO

One thing I've learned about free agency and the trade deadline, is that the Rangers are always in it. That's how they've always built their teams. I never count them out no matter how impossible it looks.

It's not for lack of effort but after that performance last night, and all year for that matter, they might as well consider everyone expendable in pursuit of Nash. This was a must win game. with playoff atmosphere, and still couldn't get one goal? Kopitar 17 goals for the year? Williams 11? Brown 13? Richards 14? They clearly need to do something to jump start this team. Switching coaches hasn't done it. These guys were pre-season dark horses to win it all. Today they are on the verge of not even playing in April.

They played well last night, but just couldn't get one in. Quick is doing his part. They're getting the chances, but no nobody has the hands. Nash isn't having that great of a year either, he was on my fantasy team and I dropped him. Nash should add some much needed offense though Kings need him bad

Switching coaches doesn't work when you replace him with the same exact coach. I cringed when they announced the new coach.

I know Nash gave his list of teams and the Flyers were not on it but the GM was at the game on Saturday. Not sure why he would be there if they were not trying to work on some kind of deal.

Probably because Columbus are sellers. They have more than just Nash available.
