Ryan Howard leads the league in homeruns and the NL in rbis and hes not going either. Hes also on a 15 game hitting streak which has raised his average to a somewhat good number for him.

A power hitter usually strikes out a lot and doesn't hit for average. He has 28 home runs and 84 rbis. Im personally think that makes up for the .234 average he has and the k's. Also in the last 30 days Howard is batting .300. So he's definitely moving up average wise.
Reyes should definitely be in the all star game. It's tough to make a case for Howard though. It's a bit ridiculous to not have the NL's leader in HR and RBI there, but it's also hard to say he should be there over Berkman, Pujols or Gonzalez.
That's what Mets Fans said about their first chosen SS...Rey Ordonez. Wait, Jeter=4 World Series Rings, Ordonez+Reyes=0 WS Rings. IMO, I think Jeter doesn't mind REYES>JETER or HALF LEAGUE>JETER as long as he's got the RINGS (and the pu$$y)!
Right now has nothing to do with career numbers.. He's one of the worst defensive shortstops in the league, has no power and isn't even hitting .290 on the season. If Jeter played on any other team but the Yankees, Red Sox or Mets nobody would call him overrated because nobody would give a shit about him and he wouldn't of made half the all stars he started in.
There's a reason he was voted the most overrated player in the game.
There's also a reason why the Yankees didn't move him (Jeter) to bring in the best player in baseball (A-Rod). Instead, A-Rod needed to move to 3rd when he came from Texas. Obviously, the Yanks management and "baseball" people don't mind having Jeter around.
Miami's Jose Reyes had three hits, scored four runs and stole two bases. His 23-game hitting streak is tied with the New York Yankees' Robinson Cano for the longest in the majors this season.
