REVIS ISLAND MASS.

Revis-Island-480x370.jpg

Just another example of Belichick playing chess and 31 other teams playing pocket pool.

Pats are usually pretty good at game planning to take the opposing teams #1 wr out of games. Now Belichick can spend less time on that.

Funny how when he was a Jet and called Revis Island ... they would make fun of the NY Jets and Revis. and that was when he was in his Prime @)

BB signs Revis for 4 million less than scheduled and does not have to give any draft picks.
Revis had his rehab year for his ACL with Tampa Bay and will be ready to play and the Pats give up nothing for him because he was cut meanwhile they get a draft pick from the Broncos for their signing of Talib.
Oh the satisfaction of being a Patriots fan. In Bill we trust.

This pick up is essentially a wash after losing Talib. Pats need some urgency, as they have a ton of holes to fill. The Broncos are doing what the Pats should be doing. Brady only has a few good years left. Where's the urgency?

Talib is the better player today and its not even close, going to come out behind in the end production wise on the field but at least they saved a couple bucks right and can sell it to their fans as being a great move.

Yes so well played. face)(*^%

^ This is utter nonsense I'm not sorry to say.

Talib can not hold Revis's jock strap.

yes I do.

Admittedly I did not see many TB games last year as most of us didn't. But he was rated the #1 corner last year by Profootballtalk or football reference or one of those sites.

No one throws his way still so I think that says it all.

Funny how when he was with the JETS... Most if not All ( maybe not you ) said he was Overrated ... Now they are Cheering like a School Girl. lol

When i have time, I'm going to search those Threads.

On a Side note... You do remember he was Injured a couple of years ago ?? Good Corner now... was a Great one when he was with the Jets

See, you're doing the same thing. Now that he isn't a Jet he is past his prime LOL!!

He is 29 on opening week. If thats past your prime then where is Manning/Brady?? In the grave?

And for the record never did I say Revis was overrated. He was feared then and he is still feared today that is why no one throws his way.
If some Patriots fans said he was overrated back then they were just jealous.

Lol, has nothing to do with him not being a Jet anymore.
he had a bad injury a couple of years back and another injury last summer. He's not 100% .. But maybe close to it.
age has nothing to do with it.. And didn't say he was a bad player. Just not as good.
just my 2 cents

truth is we don't know what Revis is right now.... He didn't play man to man a lot last year. TB did little to take advantage of his lock down reputation. The year before that he played 2 games. Its been 2 full seasons...

I'm not sure how the injury plays into anything?? Brady, Welker, lots more guys tear their ACL and are fine afterward.

I guess the point of this whole thing as things worked out pretty darn good for the Pats. They let Denver commit a ton of money to a banged up Talib, then they steal Revis (which is only 7 million against the cap this year) who is a MUCH better player. Win/Win so far. Hopefully it will turn the defense around. I think it will in a big way.

The first part of your sentence was 100% correct. When you can't win elsewhere go to where you have the best chance.

The second part is way off. They found out immediately OCHO was no fit in NE, thats why he didn't get any snaps.
