The MVC is horrible basketball to watch. Those teams cannot score. Florida State, Maryland, Cincinnati and Michigan would all win the MVC if they were in it. Each of those teams score. The MVC embarrased themselves with that joke of a tournament last week. I say So Illinois and Wichita State should be in and thats it. Would Missouri State, Creighton, Bradley or Northern Iowa be favored over FSU, Maryland or Cincinnati on a neutral court. No way. The best 34 teams should be in regardless of what conference they are in. The MVC is a joke.
sadly these teams you name are scared to schedule one of these teams. Cincy did...scheduled one of the worst valley schools and only won by 7 on their own floor!! LMAO!!:puppy:

None of those teams you mentioned would win the Missouri valley. Teams that come out of this Conference do win games in the Tournament even with bad seedings, they belong.

Florida State would finish in just about the exact same spot in the MVC as they did in the ACC: 5th.

Some teams just underachieve and don't have the collective basketball IQ to win consistently, no matter what conference they play in.

If you mean Cincy-Illinois State, the score was 76-59. That is a 17 point win. Maybe math like that is the reason the RPI's are so high in the MVC. Illinois State also beat Creighton. So Creighton lost to a team that Cincy beat by 17 and Creighton should make it and not Cincy? All I know is I've seen every MVC play several times and Cincy play several times and Cincy is better than all of them.

Skins, have you seen these MVC teams play? They can't score. They have no one that can beat anyone off the dribble. FSU would win that conference easily. You cannot compare the level of basketball in the ACC to the MVC. I think Bryant from Bradley might be the only guy in the MVC that would even start for FSU.

Cincinnati year in and year out is the biggest underachiever in College BB. I wouldn't wager anything on this team doing anything at all. You need to make your argument with another team

it's the same sound every year...this team doesn't deserve this...blah blah blah...who cares. MVC will get atleast 4 in...end of story. They've also been pretty good at sending teams to the sweet 16.

Most people on these boards haven't even seen these teams play either so their opinion doesn't really matter. Whether they win games once they get there is irrelevent as well...they will be rewarded for the schedules they played and the teams they beat....Michigan, Cincy, Florida St, etc. would not dominate at all in this conference.

Year in and year out does not matter. Right now, which of those MVC teams would be favored vs Cincy on a neutral court? None. My argument is that the MVC should not have more than 2 teams in the tourney. That is as far as the argument needs to go. The best 34 teams are supposed to make the tourney. Who is better, Cincy or Missouri state? Cincy or Creighton? Cincy or Northern Iowa? I can't stand Cincy but they are better than any team in the MVC. I am just tired of this MVC talk when the teams are not very good.

Northern Iowa is probably better. The other two would split with Cincy on a home and home basis.

Bradley would be favored over Cincy at home, and they would cover.

Cincinnati is not that good of a team and wouldn't have them in the tournament if it was up to me. Doesn't matter if they would be favored. Most of these teams would beat Cincy in My opinion.Hell there are alot of teams favored that shouldn't be. My best bet in tournament a couple of years ago was when Cincy was a 2 point favorite over Gonzaga. Wrong team favored, right team won

I do understand that Northern Iowa had some big wins earlier in the year. However, they are not as good as Cincy. Northern Iowa cannot score enough to beat them. Northern Iowa has lost 5 of their last 7 games due to a lack of offense. Missouri State would not beat Cincy. Blake Ahearn cannot score unless he's wide open or at the foul line. Once again, which team in the MVC would be favored over Cincy on a neutral court?

Illini, you might be right only because of Bryant. He is the one player in that league that could hand with Cincy, FSU, etc.
