Republicans, Ron Paul Was Your Only Hope

You laughed at him. You made fun of him. You called him extreme, a gadfly, a kook, and many other trite terms of marginalization. His only crime was the truth in stark contrast to every calculated, vacuous platitude uttered by his Republican opponents. Now I can’t help but imagine Ron Paul sitting in his easy chair surrounded by gold and silver bullion smiling knowingly saying, “Who’s laughing now, bitches?!”

No, that isn’t Ron Paul’s style, as we learned from the debate where Paul whispered, “Make, fun buddy”, under his breath in reaction to yet another moronic insult emanating from somewhere between Mitt Romney’s sculpted sideburns. Ron Paul is a man deserving of integrity and respect at work in the sea of extreme buffoonery that is Washington DC.

Nothing illustrates such an assertion better than the last few weeks of having to listen to every pundit and politico tell us why we all had to fall in line behind a bailout bill that no one wanted to pass and no one was sure would work. But the sky was falling and the wolf was around the bend so pass it we must. America, our government didn’t listen to us. We have no representation anymore. The last vestige of capitalism is nearing death. We are on the road to economic slavery.

On the right side of the road hops a satanic, grinning Johnny McCain sounding off “1-2-3-4 I support preemptive WAR, my friends. 5-6-7-8 , Sarah Palin is my running MATE, my friends”.On the left side of the road stands an evil, laughing Barry Obama repeatedly shouting “1-2-3-4 I will tax you a whole lot MORE. 5-6-7-8 What else can we REGULATE?”

Meanwhile, the rest of us toil away trying to decide which of these media-anointed left-right reddish-blue piecemeal frankenstein candidates deserve our vote. We already know the answer. Neither of them. For some reason, this is not good enough for a majority of people to direct their vote toward a third party candidate. The me-too masses are drawn magnetically to two candidates they dislike so much that the only way either can earn a vote is to be viewed as less damaging than the other one.

Since everyone now knows that I’m voting for Bob “freakin’” Barr they always corner me with “If you had to pick between Obama and McCain, which would you choose?” I answer, “Your question is idiotic. I don’t have to pick between feces and excrement because there are other choices out there.”

I almost feel sorry for those that feel shackled to only two choices. That is especially true this year, and even more true if you are a Republican. John McCain is a weak candidate. If the Republicans wanted to have a fighting chance on November 4th they should have nominated the gentleman from the 14th district in the great state of Texas, Dr. Ron Paul.Sometimes, in order to fix something, you need to rebuild it from scratch. The Republican Party has been torn to shreds by neoconservatism and the big spending of compassionate conservatism. If Obama wins in November, and I think he will, Ron Paul will be standing ready to help rebuild the Republican Party. Maybe this time the Republicans will swallow their wounded pride and listen to the man.

Truthfully, I don’t believe they are that smart now and may never be, but perhaps after November 4th they’ll be more willing to engage the issues rather than insult the truth.

You are dead on. Ron Paul was my guy. By the time he got to us in Texas. He was already done. Hell we would be better with Mitt Romney than McCain it is craziness. I hope the repub party completely falls apart and builds itself back up.

Paul/Ventura or Ventura/Paul

or maybe Paul/Goldwater Jr.

Then again, maybe not Paul since he would take office at 77. Ventura could do well, but he really should have run for Senate this year.
I think he would have won.

paul done on the prez scale i think

he was just the beginning and his focus now going to a good place getting more allies in congress

more moonbats will work their way up through the system over time

almost sure ventura runs in 2012

who knows who it'll be with

but based on where i see the economy heading over the next 4 years

it will be the rippest time for a 3rd party kook in the history of america IMO

his 9/11 inside job history will probably hurt him quite a bit though as far as having any hope

but he should draw a good amount of votes

If Ventura wanted to be President in 2012 wouldn't it have made a lot of sense to run for Senate this year?

it's a sad commentary on our country when the two candidates of our two party system that truly had balls and brains and damn common sense were never taken serious for a fukking split second. and god bless them they're both still out there trying to get people to wake the fukk up.

i guess you can only take comfort in knowing there are some people out there listening.

What about Gravel. As long as your going to pit Ron Paul with a liberal at least put him with Gravel.
