Took my GF of 4 months and her two kids for a 4 day weekend. It was awesome. Had a 75 footer with a hotub. Could have used a couple more adults to help as deck hands when I tied up in a cove at night on Norris lake but cool anyway. It was the last weekend at the Spring rates before the price doubles so it wasn't that bad. Still used $211 in gas for the engine and generator.

There's always next year, like in 75, 90-93, 99 &

Sounds fun. On a related note, when I buy a boat, I will be naming it "Four Day Weekend"

Randy-

Very nice....:103631605

Personally, am seriously contemplating buying a yacht/houseboat here in Clearwater and actually living in it. One can get a pretty nice rig in the $100,000-$300,000 range.

Your journey even makes me want to do it more.

You will be hard pressed to find places (marinas) that accept live aboards. Most areas restrict it or will not allow it altogether. You also better be prepared to pay about $15-$18 per foot per month. You would want a minimum of 34 feet if you are going to live in it. I am very familiar with the boating industry.

A boat is a whole in the water you just keep throwing $$ into..If I had a boat I would name it.."THE DUGOUT"..or "ALIBIS"

I have a few friends that will rent me available boat slips for $200-250 per month.

In fact, have an available boat slip where I am living at now.

Having said that, this is a longshot for me doing anyways.
