This one was actually kind of cool. He had look alikes pop up from the smoke on these tall platforms and started dancing one at a time and you kept thinking it was him

I think the Orange Bowl started the elaborate entertainment-centered halftime shows. I remember when I was a kid in the 70's even my Mom would watch the Orange Bowl just for the halftime festivities.

its funny cause you watch these celebs at the game who could give a flying **** about the score and they are all standing at attention for the halftime show. Its gotten ridiculous, let the real fans go and watch the game.

The Orange Bowl had that laser light show thing for years, I never liked it..

My fav halftime was U2 with the scroll of WTC victims rolling towards the sky while they played 'Walk On' ...I know it was a bit of exploitation , I almost felt guilt enjoying it to be honest....it was a pretty powerful sight.

Even during the pro games they would show a college marching band. I had friends who would march every year at the halftime of the Vikings game. I would always turn the channel and wonder why they had to show that crap.

:pucking:

I figured it was so the parents of the bands could watch and be proud. It was a different world back then.
