Both QB's sucked last night, the Defense on both sides were good, with a little help from the Refs.

no reason to be bias since you are a Seahawks fan, and there was No mauling because the final score had nothing to do with how the game was played
the Stats show that.

Seahawks won't get far in the playoffs if they play like that again

Seattle rushed for 200 yards (that's a mauling) and held the vikings offense under 300, a quarter of which happened on the meaningless last drive...this is precisely the formula to win in the playoffs

Zeebras having a rough year for sure. I've watched many ill-officiated games this year, seems a lot more than in past years.

gonna need more balance to win in the playoffs. 60 yards passing and 3 for 11 on third down is concerning....but their defense is very solid and wilson seems to be reliable

I agree, Russ definitely has to play better, although the Hawks are 2-0 over the last 2 seasons when held under 60 yards net passing (odd stat!) -- getting Doug Baldwin and DJ Fluker back will help a little.

Pete Carroll has a formula he says usually equals a win: receptions plus rushing attempts > 50. Last night they got there with 42 rushing attempts, not the way they drew it up but the defense got it done.

Everybody on Earth has now seen the illegal planned leverage blocked FG play, it was definitely illegal, Wagner put both hands to push up on two teammates who were there, braced, for that reason.

Minny would have ball 1st and 10 on 14 yd line, 5+ minutes to go. Instead Seattle gets the ball on the 37. Minny had momentum, Seattle pass rush was dead tired, Cousins was hitting receivers with time he did not have in first half.

They have replays with microscopes and DNA tests and fingerprints for some plays, but for something like this, nothing happens.

What a joke the NFL has become... again, I laugh (sometimes also painfully) at why they call PI one play but ignore 10 others that are as bad or worse. Watch pass plays, hit replay, you will see OL holding most of the time as it relates to when they decide to actually call it, usually on a long gain suddenly they call holding for what they let go before.

NFL is classified as ENTERTAINMENT. This is the same as wrestling. They can do whatever they want to influence a game. You just have to figure out ahead of time who they are going to screw.

Are you saying they can legally fix games?

Roger's NFL, the rules make calling the game subjective, the only consistency is inconsistency

They don’t fix games. They script them. lol

if if you had the Rams/Chiefs/Saints at home playing and we’re playing the Raiders or the 49ers with a line of -1 on those 3 teams listed in order to have 99% money poured on the fav with ML bets? The 49ers or Raiders would win in a route like those teams were bottom tier. Money drives it. But it wouldn’t surprised if they’re scripted and already know who’s going to the SB before the beginning of the season. After all, they create schedules and those aren’t simply algorithms picking them. They’re scheduled as they are on purpose...

Got the call to juice Seattle. Sorry if you had Minnesota..
questionable PI on Minny gives Seattle a scoring opportunity in the 4th..
blocked Minny FG penalty not called..
Minny D just gave out after a stout 3 and a half quarters..but yeah, Cousins does suck ass..

LOL Yeah that was the title of my thread. Now, does he suck as bad as Bortles? No. But he fucking fleeced the Vikings for 28 mil a year and he's laughing all the way to the bank. The guy is not one to take any team to the Super Bowl. If the Redskins thought Alex Smith was a better answer than Cousins, then that tells you all you need to know about Cousins.

No way Cousins is as bad as Bortles, Cousins is OK, a middle of the pack QB right now.

I have seen him have great games, 300, 350, 400 yards. Last night with a strong pass rush 1st half he was ineffective, overwhelmed. But 2nd half the rush tired and he got going, IMO he did not throw deep often enough, was that his decision or the OC? Some can do well under extreme pressure, many cannot.

This year so far Cousins is ranked #12, last year #16, 2016 #3, and 2015 #7 passing by Football Outsiders, not bad. Skins had terrible OL injuries last year, so you can see it affected him.

Sure, he was overpaid by Minny but you also have to wonder about the OC up there, just fired, no real background of success, was labeled a "young dynamic up and comer" but maybe that was BS. He might have had a system in place that was not suited for the personnel on the Vikings, all those good skill players and a below average OL, should have found ways to get the ball out quick to the excellent receivers and RB's Cook & Murray.

There was no mauling? The Vikings didn't move the ball past the 50 until the 4th Q. They held the Vikings to 0 points until 1:00 to go in the game and they ran for 200+ yards. That is a defensive ass kicking.

Seattle scored 6 points until very very late in the game, when refs reversed the illegal leverage penalty call for no reason that would have put the Vikes on the Seattle 14, 1st and 10, with 5 minutes to go.

It changed everything.

Viking defense kicked ass until that disgraceful turn of events.

Not a mauling.

Seattle had 6 points with 5 min to go, got the ball on one of the most contested controversial plays of the year.

Not a mauling.

Grand theft.

Not saying it was fixed, just saying a terrible, legendary blunder by the refs on a play Wagner and his two teammates planned, they braced themselves for the play.

Not a mauling.

At any point in the game last night, did you think Minnesota would win? Me neither. That's an ass kicking.

You guys are fucking whining about a play that didn't even result in a score. Minnesota would've still had to score which they hadn't done all night long.

wow serbone for a guy that analyses things quite well - u are wayyyyyy off base on this one.
if the fix was in. russell did his best to keep the vikes close by his rookie blunder that would have made the score 13-0 and out of reach.
check the boxscore. it doesnt lie. hawks moved the ball at will despite a shitty russell wilson throwing. cousins did nothing. i didnt see the hawk d gassed at all.
if it were brees at qb for sea at the half it would have been hawks 28-0
200+ yds on the ground to vikes basically zero offence? like i said if vikes covered that would have been a bad beat on me and hawks backers

Again.

It was 6-0 with 5 minutes to go. So not a blowout. Minny D played well under pressure and yes Wilson’s passing was problematic.

Everybody on Earth knows the Vikings should have had the ball on the 14 with 5 to go. Even normies know it. Minny was moving the ball and could have scored a TD and won SU. Or a FG. Or eaten clock and held Seattle to 6 points.

But that reversed on the field call changed everything.

It seemed to be planned, two 300 pounders braced themselves perfectly so Wagner could nimbly make his move. No I cannot prove it was orchestrated but either way the game was up for grabs and Seattle only had 6 points until the debacle.

I think Minnesota has officially written to the NFL on this matter... why did the ref pick up the flag?

Perfectly stated. If you put your money on Kirk Cousins in a prime time game you have nobody to blame but yourself. Not the refs, not the coaches. It’s not like he just became a bad qb overnight.

seer, HA, if Wilson was "in on a fix" he would keep throwing all kinds of INTs or fumble to help Minny score, not just that one at the end of the half, that was a legit try to make a big play. His passing was very poor last night.

Tell me I am wrong, this reversed leverage blocked FG is a once a year call, it has been a point of emphasis to keep these guys from hurdling over players to block kicks. This one was probably the most blatant violation, with "intent", they were organized, all three players had a role.

('lil Wang always trolls after games, why don't you make some picks? You are great afterwards, I assume you had Douglas over Tyson after the fight. And, again, Cousins is a decent QB, see the stats I provided, last year he was missing several starting OL with Skins, this year 1) Minny OL is below average and 2) it seems the hot shot new OC did not figure out what to do with all the top skill players the Vikes have on offense. Minny is struggling on O but wait till next year.)

Read on FootballZebras.com that they picked up the flag because the umpire said it was a leaping penalty (a different aspect of the same rule) and the side judge talked him out of it because Wagner was on the line of scrimmage and the leaping penalty is for players who take a run from behind the line and jump over. However, the other aspect of the rule prohibits leverage by putting hands on teammates or opponents to aid the jump, which Wagner clearly did and should have been the same 15 yard penalty, just for a different aspect of the rule. If you will recall, when announcing that the flag was being picked up, the referee said "the player was on the line of scrimmage." That negated "leaping" but the just missed or ignored the "leveraging." You would think with a huge Jumbotrons running replays, one of them would have looked up and seen it during the "discussion."
