This PPD favors Boston a great deal. You now have Wakefield probable tomorrow night, and that could frustrate the hell out of an aggressive Yankee team. Then Lowe on Tuesday afternoon. Pedro in New York

Series price right now Redsox +275 at 5DIMES.

I think there is value....not homer value, I mean value

While no one is worse than burkett. i think pitching a knuckleballer to the same team in a 7 game series can be risky. The novelty is worn off.

As for pedro, the yanks have had his number as of late. and his postseason numbers are horribly average (4.29 ERA). So the yankees are far from worried facing him. Not to mention his fastball is now topping off at 91 or 92.

Lowe is a battler. And i respect him for that. But he gave up 6 runs to the yanks in game 2.

And finally, the red sox know that if they EVER fall behind late in the game Mariano will cut the game into a 7 inning game, because they are not going to hit him in the 8th and ninth. And contreras has looked pretty strong in the 7th.

The yanks one weakness is mussina. He hasnt shown me the desire to win that pettite, wells and clemens bring to the mound. Basically you are going to have to win game 4 to have ANY chance, because falling behind 3-1 to this team is suicide.

good luck!

The Yankees always have trouble with junk type pitchers. If the knuckler is moving tonight like it was in Wake's last game...it will be a long night for the pinstrip. If the ball is flat it will be home run derby for the Yanks. One thing you cannot do is practice hitting a knunkle ball unless you have a knuckleball thrower on your team who is willing to do so.

One thing is certain tonight...no Yankee is gonna be scared of getting hit by a pitch, Wake's fastball tops out about 84 mph. If anyone has access to how Wake's ball will be moving in warm-ups it will be a huge advantage. He will be either "on" or "off"...no inbetween. I'll post more on this later.

BB....I think that the Redsox winning this series is a strong possibility. They win tonight, this series will be a game by game series. Also. They win tonight and tomorrow, and why Not go Pedro in game 6 and take this series. Also Boston wins tongiht andtomorrow and Best behavior at Yankees stadium ,because they will not RISK REVENGE for a trip to the World Series. Obviously must wins tonight and tomorrow. +275 IS VALUE

pedro is not going game 6 EVEN if they are down 3-2. It was already announced and confirmed by Gammons on the radio today. he can barely get his fastball up to 90 with 4 days rest. if he pitches on 3 days rest he will have to learn how to pitch a knuckleball.

If you are betting on the sox, remember you are down 2-1 and you will have burkett going game 6 against pettite. I would factor that into the odds you are getting.

PT

Please re-read my post, and then check your math. I meant he could pitch in game 6 if the REDSOX are up 3-2, not down. In 24 hours 2 games will be played.
