I guess he thought there were 2 outs.

I knew they would lose, but I can't fade my Phillies so I just took the over. I was expecting Eaton to get rocked, but he pitched well and the Phillies wasted opportunities to score some runs. Not a good start to the day.

Votto was on deck and he is alot better hitter than Bako.

Bako only drove in 3 out of 12 guys at 3rd with less than 2 outs last year and Manuel made the right decision. He got the grounder they needed, but for some reason Jimmy threw to first. 2 walks to start the inning killed them.

that would have been the smart thing to do, but Charlie Manuel is not smart..

loading the bases is the right move there.

Bako is a horrible hitter and more than likely Votto would have got a sac fly. Not blaming Manuel for this loss when I usually do. You can't walk the first 2 hitters and expect to win.
