The Cincinnati Reds will have their games produced and distributed by Major League Baseball starting in 2026 after leaving Main Street Sports, which is facing bankruptcy. They join five other teams in making the switch, ensuring fans can watch without local blackouts via cable, satellite, or streaming on Reds.TV. While the move secures broadcast stability, it may bring lower revenues compared to traditional regional sports network deals.

Six teams exit Main Street Sports

The Cincinnati Reds, Milwaukee Brewers, Miami Marlins, Kansas City Royals, St. Louis Cardinals, and Tampa Bay Rays will have MLB produce their games starting in 2026 after terminating contracts with Main Street Sports. This follows the RSN’s financial struggles, missed payments, and looming bankruptcy. The Atlanta Braves, Detroit Tigers, and Los Angeles Angels have yet to finalize their broadcast plans.

The Reds confirmed the news at 6 p.m. Monday. Under the new agreement, fans in the team’s home television territory will be able to watch all locally distributed Reds games via cable and satellite providers or stream digitally on Reds.TV without blackouts.
