Guys,

It seems that all on the board are on the birds. Yes, the Sox offense are going to be a bit hurt with a few huge players for them out. Yes, Pedro has had a slow start and this is the first game of the season. Anything could happen. Spring training is over. All is totally different. Today is finally here!!!

Pedro will pitch well. For sure better than Ponson who has not pitched well at all aginst the Sox. The birds have added considerable bats. Could be potential trouble especially as the season rolls on. Birds could be trouble to many teams down the road.

Tonight -- Take the Sox and Sox Nation. Ya!!
-190 They are the better team. Pitching and the bats. The weather is cold and windy. Cold conditions and windy with Pedro.. Take the Sox!!!
Lay the wood.. -190 as the Sox start out on the winning track.

Hope everyone well for the season... Great luck to all!!!

tottaly agree ponsoon is also 1-9 vs boston and his ERA his nothing to brag about. the sox will have the advantage in pitching and hitting the entire game. . .most teams typically lose their opener.

Rob Funk,

Openers are a tough call. Anything goes. That's the gamble -- ya gotta love it!! However, I prefer to think of this profession as not just a gamble, but, taking the value and being able to determine who the best team is and go with it -- Take the win and make some cash... Reguardless, of points or ML. At this point being the first game of the season with Pedro. It's hard to look the other way. Especially, with Ponson. The game will be won with pitching tonight- not with the bats. We all have to remember that these early season openers still have some really cols weather for the bats.. Also, I have been informed the winds are whipping like 30 mph's. Even more reason the favor the pitching. I only expect Pedro to go 5 to 7 innings at most so -- Yes, the scary bullpen comes out. This is where I see progress in the Sox as well. Of course Foulke., but, the staff is just not that bad. Hopefully some better breaks with the bullpen this season. Red Sox win tonight!!

Hope everyone well for the season... Great luck to all!!!

Jawpaw,

I am very southern Maine in York. Your not to far. U know wher I am at I am sure.

Anyways, what the Fvck with them socks??? Any team that gets runners on the bases in every one of the first seven innings and can't get a couple scores.. Jaw, u know you won't win many games.

Sox have been good in the past with moving players. Look at last year all the games won in the 7th. on.. Sht. they just could not get the runners moving. Every time they hit into double play. I was very unimpressed with some aspects of the game and others alright. For the opener I really thought they would pull it out. I was bucking the trend. They had lost like their last 3 or 4 openers. Ah well like usual history repeats itself. Let's hope it aint at the same at the end of the year if ya know what I mean..

Today , I will get back with a few nice plays I have. I already took the cubbies, but, was to late to post.

Other potential considerations today::
