You are right Albert, I mistakenly listed the 2019 recruiting rankings. I'll update the 2020 list later. Thanks Bud.

Top 2019 wide receiver recruit Bru McCoy is transferring for the second time in four
months, announcing Friday that he is leaving Texas. McCoy, ESPN's top WR and No.
27 overall player in the 2019 class originally signed with USC in December and en-
rolled in January. He then transferred to Texas where he participated in spring drills.
Now it looks like he's headed back to USC.

Wide receiver Julian Fleming, the No. 4 ranked recruit overall, has committed to Ohio
State. Fleming, the top receiver in the 2020 class, chose the Buckeyes over Alabama,
Clemson, Georgia and Penn State and is the second 5-star to commit to OSU in this
cycle.

2020 Recruiting Update (247Sports Composit)

As the summer rolls around, we're going to see the 2020 recruiting cycle really
start to take shape. Coaching staffs across the country have already gotten off
to a fast start putting together their classes for next year. Recruiting powers like
Clemson, Alabama and LSU already have at least 15 recruits each. The Tigers
are building a particularly impressive class. Of their 16 recruits, four are five-stars.
That group includes No. 2 recruit Bryan Bresee, an elite defensive tackle, and the
country's top quarterback DJ Unagaleler.

1. Clemson.....2. Alabama.....3. LSU.....4. Georgia.....5. Miami.....6. Notre Dame

7. Florida.....8. Florida State.....9. Ohio State.....10. North Carolina.....11. Penn State

12. Georgia Tech.....13. Oregon.....14. Michigan.....15. Oklahoma.....16. Mississippi State

17. Iowa.....18. South Carolina.....19. Northwestern.....20. Arkansas.....21. Texas A&M

22. Auburn.....23. Oklahoma State.....24. North Carolina State.....25. Stanford.

Florida Schools Staying Home

Miami #5, Florida #7 and Florida State #8 are all doing well so far in the 2020
recruiting cycle and they are doing it by recruiting in-state players. Miami's class
includes 13 of 15 commits from Florida. Florida State's not far behind with 11 of
12 from the Sunshine State and Florida follows up with 7 of 12. That's 31 of 39
recruits from the home state.

Clemson Keeps It In the Family

The Tigers football team is already the home for Dabo Swinney's sons, Drew and
Will, and defensive coordinator Brent Venables' sons Jake and Tyler. Also, Kirk
Herbstreit's (ESPN) twin sons Jake and Tye will join the team this fall. Dabo and
Kirk's sons are invited walk-on players while Venables' sons are both on scholarship.

Wonder why Herbstreit's boys didn't walk on at Ohio State? Guess they weren't
invited.

You may be correct...I honestly don't know.

If not, I'm sure Dabo can afford sending his sons. So can Herbie.

Georgia - Five star running back target Kendall Milton announced he and his family
will take an official visit to Athens on June 14th. Milton is rated the No. 21 overall
prospect in the country by 247Sports. The California native has narrowed his schools
down to Georgia, Alabama, LSU and Ohio State.

Georgia's second team TE Luke Ford who entered the transfer portal and is transferring
to Illinois will have to sit out next season. He was ruled ineligible this week for the
coming season. Dumbass!

Did you know that four and five-star recruits make up only about 10 percent of all
football recruits nationally, yet they are 10 times more likely than other D1 recruits
to be drafted in the first round of the NFL draft. Obviously, there are exceptions like
in this years draft. Duke QB Daniel Jones wasn't even rated. Kentucky All-American
LB Josh Allen was a two-star coming out of high school and Alabama RB Josh Jacobs
was given a 3-star rating. All three were taken in this year's first round.

Fall camp starts at schools across the country in six weeks or so and there are
several quarterbacks still in the transfer portal. Here are six with the team they
are leaving.

Kasim Hill (Maryland), Hill has been in the portal since February and has knee
issues.

Malik Willis, (Auburn) Went through spring practice then entered the portal in
May. Good kid and could help some lessor team.

Brandon Peters (Michigan) He graduated from Michigan in the spring. Little to
no playing time under Jimmy.

Alex Malzone, (Miami, Ohio) Coming out of high school he was ranked the No. 12
quarterback in his class.

Octavious Battle (South Florida) Went through spring practice and was listed No. 3.

Manny Miles (North Carolina) Miles has been in the portal all spring and his father
Les has not offered.

West Virginia has a whopping 7 players in the transfer portal including 3 safeties.
Not great news for new coach Neal Brown or the depth chart.

Quoting one prominent coach. "This transfer portal is a mess for coaches."

Willis visited Liberty last weekend. He has also talked with Troy a few times. Not sure either will extend an offer or if he will accept if they do.

Louisville has really heated up on the recruiting trail this month with 14 players
pledging in June. Eleven came in last week ranking the class at No. 20 nationally.
Six of the commits are from Georgia where a heavy emphasis has been placed
on the Peach state. No program in America is hotter than the Cardinals on the
recruiting trail.

Five of California's top 10 recruits have made pledges and only one comes from
instate. No. 1 Clemson, No. 3 LSU, No. 7 USC and No. 10 Oregon. The rest are
undecided.

Ole Miss has landed a commitment from 4 star safety Eric Reed who choose the
Rebs over LSU, Notre Dame and Virginia. There's a expectations that Reed can step in
and play right away. Good pick up for Ole Miss especially sense Reed is from Louisiana.

Notre Dame has always had national appeal and the Irish are proving it so far with
their recruiting class. Their 13 recruits are from Pa, NJ, Va, Az, Il, Ha, Mo, Co, Ky,
Ct, Wash DC and Germany. None yet from Indiana.

Willis would be a good fit at Liberty, especially in a Hugh Freeze offense.
Malzahn and Freeze are real good friends and I know Malzahn gave Willis
a good recommendation.

#39 Stanford (tough entrance standards but should be higher)
#44 Southern Cal (pitiful for the talent in California)
#78 Nebraska (not good for the second year coach)
#81 Central Florida (doesn't matter...they'll claim any rank they want)
#82 Washington State (the Pirate has a reputation of winning with less)
#87 UCLA (unbelievable for California's talent)
#88 Virginia Tech (don't understand this one)

Louisville didn't get Brohm, but Satterfield can coach, and apparently he's getting things done on the recruiting trail. Who are the top recruiters on his staff?

And Kansas at 29 -- wow!

I read that the four recent de-commits from Penn State - just the four of them -- would constitute a recruiting class that would be ranked higher than Nebraska's or Illinois's.

Yeah mws, Penn State lost one 5star and three 4stars. The dead period started today in recruiting so there
probably won't be very much movement the next four weeks. Coaches can talk with recruits but no face to
face or have them visit the campus.
