quoted from covers, Tulsa fans can't get nervous at halftime against the Green Wave. The Golden Hurricane has trailed at intermission in the past two season openers, both on the road at Louisiana-Monroe and Tulane, and rallied for second-half victories.
."

Struggling out of the gate, especially with such a potent offense now
Also add Tulsa with a New QB, new RB and losing one of their good WR's and Tulane returning more starters than Tulsa you could make the case, these guys lead early, maybe a tied halftime. Leaning Tulane 1st half.

Also last night showed teams are and always tend to be rusty, look at oregon lol. I also think this game is alot like Ball St. and North Texas. so look into this angle.

inputs always welcome of course.

This game is nothing like Ball State/North Texas. But I do agree that Tulsa could get off to a little bit of a slow start not knowing exactly what kind of defensive schemes that the new Tulane DC will throw at them.

you dont think its somewhat similar ? ball state losing qb and some of their fire power, just like tulsa is here.. i guess your right, n texas has way more potential then tulane though. and just read up on the new defensive coord, also, tulsa lost their offensive coord fwiw.

Problem with that theory is 2 things. Tulane is going with a new starter, not Moore (I think, can't remember). Also, Tulsa did all their damage on the ground.

the QB situation for Tulsa should be fine even if he is a little inexperienced.....but Tulsa lost a stud WR and their OL is much weaker this year. I'm not sure I smell blowout

yes thats what i'm saying

489 yards rushing and 104 passing last year from Tulsa in this game. Tulane's defense returns 4 starters, 2 of which are out for this game, which basically leaves 2 returning starters on defense and 2 guys replacing them with combined 1 collegiate game played.

and let’s not forget about dynamic playmaker for Tulsa Damaris Johnson, who led C-USA in all-purpose yardage as a true freshman. Johnson, who had a team-high 53 receptions and 10 TD grabs in 2008, will add punt-return duties to his resume this year.

I want to add that Tulsa was only 2-4 ATS as road chalk last year. Tulane actually started the season out 3-0 ATS last season before injuries started doing them in.

Only scored 6, but against alabamas defense lol
7-20 first on first downs compared to 3-11 bama
318 total yards compared to 172 bama
29-50 pass completions vs 11-23 bama
