What is the difference between Netherlands EV and Netherlands -1/2 EV? I'm so confused. :think2:

I know I'm an idiot for not being able to get this, and a degenerate for wanting to bet it anyway. Just looking for a plain English explanation.

Thinking about just playing Netherlands to advance -220 but that seems like too much juice.

If I take them EV I'm guessing I am betting they win in regulation, whereas on the -220 I get extra time and penalty kicks if they need it. But what is up with the -1/2 EV?

I believe it is the same bet - the real difference is the +1/2 line where its pricing together a draw or mexico win

That's what I thought, but then I look at Costa Rica. They are +175 on the ML but then on the right where it says Goals it says PK -120. WTF? So on that bet I would push on a draw?

Yea so Costa Rica is +175 to win in regulation + overtime (if it goes to pk's - you lose) and - 120 to either win or draw (result of penalty kicks wouldnt matter) - this is all off the top of my head but it makes sense

You need NED to win by at least 1 goal margin in regular time to win NED -.50 or -1/2 EV bet.

the -0.5 is the goalspread, Holland needs to win by 1 goal during the 90minutes in order for bets on this line to be winners... ALMOST ALWAYS when the goalspread is -0.5 the three way line is going to feature the same odds for said team but you get the draw option as well

I've noticed that teams play MUCH more conservatively in the round of 16 than they did in the group stage. Have to be careful when playing the regulation time only bets, many underdogs ok playing for tie then taking a chance on shootout kicks.

nearly every bet is for Regulation time only, if not it should be explicitly stated.
the to advance bets are one of the exceptions, thus the high juice. note, if it gets to pk's the fav only have a minute advantage like Brazil yesterday.

The +175 is for CR -1/2 in regulation time
the pk -120 is CR in regulation time

Wait until you see -1/4 or -3/4 lines.

We have the 2nd half line with an Asian total... feel bad for the customers who have no idea what we are saying, but bet the over anyway

LOL...they are betting with their eyes closed anyways, most don't have a clue about betting soccer in general
