Rays vs. Whitesox Beware

Just want to advise posters to make sure they try to get as much insight as possible, before throwing money down on the sox without having solid backing. A lot of times as a bettor you may just use the Whitesox won't get sweep at home theory, but that has always been something to burn bettors, especially on Sundays.hno:

I'm probably not going to touch this game. Sonnanstine is going for his 3rd straight start with a Win and although he has never played the Sox in Chicago he does have a 1.84 ERA in his two starts against them this year.

Buerhle on the other hand is trying to win his 4th straight start. To counter that though there is a 0-1 5.54 ERA against the Rays this year.


Just trying to pass along somethings to consider before jumping on this game.

The current Ray lineup is 33-118 lifetime v. Buehrle (.311), but not hard. (only one Ray homer against him (Pena).
Overall, Rays hit .246 against lefties.

White Sox hit .258 against Sonnastine, and have never homered against him.

Lean is to the Rays, the -118 line makes it a no play.

I see the Rays at +151 at Pinnacle, pretty decent value for a team playing good ball right now and what should be a close game if the pitchers continue with their recent form.

The price of this game is yet another example of the lack of respect from the bookmakers for the Rays. Those of us who have been riding the Rays have reaped some enormous ($$$$$$) benefits. I still don't know how a team with the best record in all of baseball who is playing better than anyone right now continues to get lines like +155. Granted this should be close game but right now which team would you rather have your money on in a close game? For me it is sure not the south siders with a more than shaky bullpen. I look for the Rays to sweep today and for us Rays backers to once again cash. Good luck to all Rays backers. It is the smart play.
