Source: Lewis to appeal $25K fine
Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis has been fined $25,000 by the NFL for his hit on Chad Ochocinco that sent the Bengals receiver's helmet flying Sunday.
Lewis will appeal the fine, a Ravens source told ESPN senior NFL analyst Chris Mortensen.
Lewis was called for a 15-yard penalty for the hit, which occurred during the Bengals' final drive of the game. The infraction allowed Cincinnati to continue its march downfield and score for a 17-14 victory over Baltimore.
The Bengals have won four straight games and lead the AFC North with a 4-1 record.
