RECORD YTD 46-30 (.605)
SIDES 31-20 (.607)
TOTALS 15-10 (.600)

This bet is no different than any other, as all my picks are Diamond Solid Game of the Millennium Relases. Just having fun with the leap year.

NJ/MIAMI failed to stay UNDER here yesterday. Game was on Spanish channel. Not that I'm superstitious cause being superstitious can be bad luck, but I don't think I've ever won a game that was televised on that Spanish channel, Side or Total. I better learn to pray in Spanish for missed free throws when I'm on the UNDER.

DENVER/NY two teams enmeshed in 5 game losing streaks. Will look for Denver home cooking to right the ship. After the officiating debacle in the Nuggets last home game, the league owes them a plethora of make up calls. (plethora? when did that word get added to my vocabulary. Had to look it up. Weird the words that come out onto the page when you're typing.)

I'll step up against NY again even with Houston back in the fold and Camby??. This is a must win for Denver in order to get some respect back. 4th and last road game for NY on their Western trip. NY beat Denver earlier in the season. Time for a little payback. Desperate Denver shows up tonight while NY might be looking ahead to the trip home.

OR:

What is your take on the Lakers/Nets. Lakers blow on back to backs. I can't see NJ losing this game. The line is only -2.

Spadey: Agree that Lakers suck on backtobacks, but they seem to be on a mission as of late. Kobe healthy now and don't they own NJ?. Also people have been cashing in on the WEST in West vs East matchups this year. (DENVER/NY later). I like Lakers here but not enough to bet them.

Sammy: Guess Lakers don't own NJ anymore. Must have been thinking about the Laker finals sweep.

Revenge then for the sweep last year.

I'm pasting this report from a pay service, its free on their home page. I deleted any reference to them to keep this post from being censored for shilling. It doesn't matter who they are. Great info to share.

FEBRUARY 25 -- Since the 1/26 ******** Special Report on long-term profit of Western Conference chalk vs. Eastern Conference dogs, the Western favorites are 25-15 ATS.

Everyone Says the Western Conference is better...
But is anybody doing anything about it?

After Seattle, -5, beat Toronto by 20 to close out the first half of the NBA season, Western Conference chalk was 17-11 ATS vs. the East since ******** released a Special Report citing Western Conference, non-conference favorites as a long-term money-making category in the NBA. On the first night following the 2003-04 All-Star break, Western Conference non-conference favorites were 3-0 ATS, to make a nice 20-11 (70%) run.

Houston -9 over Washington
Sacramento -12.5 over Boston
Denver -6 over Philadelphia.

WWW. Nice. Since then, when Western teams have been favored, they are 5-4. This brings the run since the Special Report was released -- nearly one month ago -- to 25-15, 62.5%.

Prior Report on this topic...

When Laying Points, the West Has Won

JANUARY 26 -- SPECIAL REPORT: WESTERN CONFERENCE is regarded as easily the stronger of the two in the NBA. Their favorites have, and continue to, generate a profit in non-conference action.

DESPITE HAVING THE REPUTATION as the stronger conference, Western Conference NBA favorites are not being overbet, and have not been overbet for the last several seasons. (Figures are through January 25, 2004).

In the current 2003-04 season, Western Conference teams are generating a small profit laying points...

WEST Favored vs. East 2003-04: 88-71-2, 55.3%

With break-even at 52.3%, Western Conference favorites are performing 3.0 points better than break-even, more reliable than your typical money-market savings account.

This current percentage is slightly better than the overall cover rate of Western Conference favorites since the 2000-01 season...

WEST Favored vs. East 2000 - Present: 489-417-17, 54.0%

Your place, or mine
It hasn't really mattered where the Western Conference favorite was playing. The percentages for home and away favorites are each in line with the overall...

NBA Interconference Home Favorites, 2000 on...
WEST: 325-272-12, 54.4%

NBA Interconference Road Favorites, 2000 on...
WEST: 164-145-5, 53.1%

Western Doggies Can Be Targeted, Too!
While the assumption might be made that Western Conference teams taking points would be an even better situation vs. the East -- a guess that 'better' teams in receipt of points is a handicapping gift -- this is proving to be false.

WEST Underdog vs. East 2003-04: 33-36-0, 47.8%
WEST Underdog vs. East 2000 - Present: 245-236-4, 50.9%

Both Western Conference underdog percentages above lose money. However, broken down into home and road dogs, Western Conference dogs are a different story...

NBA Inter-Conference Home Dog, 2000 - On
WEST: 61-42-2, 59.2%

NBA Inter-Conference Road Dog, 2000 - On
WEST: 184-194-2, 48.7%

Western Conference Home Dogs are +19 games to the good vs. the East over the last three-plus seasons, a 59% success rate better than any of the above situations over the last three-plus seasons! But Western Conference Road Dogs are -10 games to the bad vs. the East over the last three-plus seasons, losing a considerable amount of money.

Hi OccamsRazor,

I am new to RX and have been following your picks. Today is the best call of them all. You said this game comes once in awhile and you were right on the dot. Just want to give you some credit on the winning pick and say you are a one of the great capper around. I have seen some capper that say they are good buy not consistent like you OccamsRazor. Keep up the great job you are doing helping other fellow member in RX hit the bookie. The bookie have taken enough of our money, now it's time to take our money back with your help. I know you can't win every game. I have faith that you will pick more winner then losers. Thanks for your time and effort in posting your picks everyday.

Wow, I just got back in and didn't know what had happened. Did you guys see the box score?? I had posted that the league OWED Denver a hell of a lot of make up home calls for that botched job.FINAL Freethrows: NY 7-11 DENVER 26-34!!! Payback is a MoFo.

Taking Denver tonight was like being in on a fix. By that I mean, we know that make up calls exist and tonights' Denver situation called for arguably one of the biggest, "make up payback make everything even calls" in NBA history. The initial call at home, was so wrong, that they suspended a Ref for the first time in league history. Refs were up in arms with the suspension and wore their shirt inside out as a form of protest. You knew the Refs were going to do home make up calls in the name of solidarity.

I just didn't think that it was going to be so obvious.

Congrats to those on Denver

Yes Razor, that was truly amazing..

Just proves that the refs MUST be accounted for when capping a game, which is VERY SAD..

Nice call
