Vikings receiver Randy Moss was criticized by Fox Sports analysts for leaving his team's sideline and walking toward the locker room on the second-to-last play of the game Sunday.
After receiver Marcus Robinson caught a 38-yard touchdown pass, and the Vikings got a two-point conversion to cut the Redskins' lead to 21-18, the Vikings lined up for an onside kick with two seconds left. Moss headed toward the locker room, drawing the ire of the television analysts, who wondered what would have happened had the Vikings gotten the ball back and needed him to line up.
The Redskins recovered the onside kick with one second remaining, and quarterback Patrick Ramsey knelt to end the game.
Moss did not comment after the game.
Moss caught five passes for 66 yards, including a brilliant reception for a 28-yard touchdown. But Redskins linebacker Antonio Pierce said Moss was not a factor in the game.
"All I heard was that he was jamming Moss up the whole time," Pierce said of rookie cornerback Garnell Wilds. "Moss may have made a couple of plays but for the most part was no difference in the game."
Moss finished the regular season with 49 catches for 767 receiving yards and 13 touchdown.
