Random dumb hypothetical betting question....

I was just wondering about what a more experienced bettor might do in this situation, compared to ideas I might have for the same situation.

I am not in this situation, I am not dumb enough to try anything like this, so dont think I'm actually looking for any legit advice. Im just curious.

Basically,

You have 100 dollars to bet with, you need to turn that money into 2000 dollars in two weeks. You get to keep nothing if you dont reach 2k.

How do you go about it?

That's not a question an experienced gambler can answer for you other than tell you its not the way to gamble. That scenario would have to mean you are needing to be reckless and bet all ins to achieve that goal.

no shit its reckless. I though I cleared it up in the first post that this was A. Dumb, and B. Not legit

consider it fake money or something. I dont need people telling me to not do something that I would have absolutely no interest in doing with real money.

Im just curious with a time period of two weeks, whether someone would think their best chance is to pick 4-5 games to go all in on, or to try some other plan to try and do it.

The only feasable move is to take a single shot with a 3 team parlay risking the entire $100 on it.

For example:

$100 Parlay at 5Dimes

Sacramento Kings +195 (vs Phoenix Suns)
Minnesota TWolves +135 (vs NJ Nets)
Edmomton Oilers -1.5 +185 (vs Minnesota NStars)

if all three hit the payoff would be around $1875 plus your $100 stake would leave you with $1975.



Of course it's pie in the sky but so is the proposal.

for some reason I thought this might lead to a few interesting/fun responses, instead of the typical bullshit you get from forum posters.

I was just randomly wondering this, this morning, the thoughts I had were basically to either just take 4 or 5 baseball lines and bet everything on them, or something along the lines of betting 30% for the first bet, then the rest of the bankroll on the second bet, and hoping instead of having to be perfect for 5 you might be able to pull off managing to not miss 2 in a row. Both are obviously very unlikely, but I was just thinking maybe someone else had a different way to look at it.

I guess one reasonable post out of 3 is the best I couldve hoped for though.

I was just randomly thinking about it. how many fucking times do I need to say it. I put the words "DUMB HYPOTHETICAL BETTING QUESTION" in the title. and then explained it twice more that this was just a crazy dumb hypothetical question about how someone whos been betting for a very long time might go about such a challenge, like if some place offered this as just a game or a promotion. Compared to someone like me.


Fucking forget it, I tried to make it pretty obvious that this was in no way a serious question, but apparantly some of the brilliant minds here still beileve I'm just trying to disguise the question.

idk that the parlay would be the way to go about it. i think the best thing would be to just keep going all in... hope that you can hit 5-7 in a row (not sure exactly how many it'd take)

i think the chances of getting 6 in a row on 6 seperate days is greater than the chance of hitting a three line parlay picking three underdogs...

is your scenerio possible? yeP,,, my betting style is such,,

1. I deposit 970.00 to 1 of my 5 accounts
2. I make 1 bet at a time, sometimes 2 bets ina day, somedays skip a day, Looking for BEST lock on the day,

3. ML Parlay 2 medium sized, or 3 medium sized favorites.
4. bet Dogs straight up
5. withdraw $$ once I reach target goal,,

this usually takes me 3 weeks to a month to get my monies were I like to withdrawal.
