TCU (10 - 2) vs. BOISE ST (12 - 0)
Week 16 Tuesday, 12/23/2008 8:00 PM
-------------------------------------------

Boise is coming into this game on ANOTHER undefeated season, and getting absolutely No respect for it. I understand their schedule has not been the most difficult, but TCU hasn't exactly had a tough schedule either. With the 2nd and 3rd ranked D's. (In points allowed) this should be an interesting game to say the least. Personally, I feel Boise deserved a BCS bid, and they will be PISSED they didn't get it. Don't get me wrong, TCU is Great this year, I just think Boise has a solid group of kids at their program who can and have played well in Big Games. Nothing changes here.

Trends:
BOISE ST is 52-16 ATS in the second half of the season
BOISE ST is 44-13 ATS after playing 2 straight conference games.
BOISE ST is 29-10 ATS when playing against a team with a winning record.

My Power Ratings:
TCU: 7th
Boise St: 5th

My Efficiency Ratings:
TCU: 7th
Boise St. 9th

Not a whole lot to discuss on this game. Great Defenses, Efficient Offenses, and in my opinion 2 top 8 teams in the nation. Hoping for a great game.

Playing it Small

Boise St. +3.5 (1 Unit) :toast:

Motor City Bowl - Ford Field - Detroit, MI

Guys, No play for tonight. Sorry. Without injuries, I had FAU covering the 7. Something like FAU 31 C. Mich 34.

But with the key injuries to FAU. 2 O-Lineman, LB, and a place kicker. I can not risk my money nor advise you to risk yours on so much uncertainty.

So, if you play the game Good Luck, but I will be sitting this one out.

On a side note

I will be posting tomorrows selections in here tonight. I have one more Christmas tonight, and then I am going to research and write-up the game(s) I like tomorrow. Many of you would like my plays sooner than 1 hour before gametime, so I will do my best to provide that.:103631605

WISCONSIN (7 - 5) vs. FLORIDA ST (8 - 4)
Week 16 Saturday, 12/27/2008 4:30 PM
---------------------------------------------------
Florida St. is coming into this game losing 2 of their last 3 games, and the Badgers are on a 3 game winning streak. Has Florida St. fell off late? I don't think so. The difference in competition the last few games has been extreme. I feel the line has been compenstaed because of recent results.

Last 3 games for each team:

Florida St.
1. Boston College L 17-27
2. @ Maryland W 37-3
3. Florida L 15-45

Wisconsin
1. @ Indiana W 41-20
2. Minnesota W 35-32
3. Cal Poly Slo (DI-aa) W 36-35

Wisconsin handled Indiana, as they should with the talent difference, barely beat Minnesota, who was slightly overrated this season in my opinion. And beat Cal Poly Slo by 1??

Florida St. may have lost recently, but who wouldn't lose to Florida, and they did lose to BC (but that was with Chris Crane still in the lineup.)

YPR offensively and defensively are about even with Florida St. holding a slight edge. Additionally, in the turnover over department, Florida St. holds a slight edge as well. I feel the numbers are skewed somewhat with the Seminoles having 7 turnovers in the Wake Forest game, so I think they hold considerable advantage overall in this key area.

Caoching must be looked at as well. Bowden has been here and knows how to prepare his team. This I believe will be a considerable advantage also. Not to mention the game is in Florida.

Trends:
WISCONSIN is 0-8 ATS vs. good teams - outscoring opponents by 10+ PPG on the season over the last 2 seasons.
WISCONSIN is 0-8 ATS versus good defensive teams - allowing <=310 yards/game over the last 2 seasons.

My Power Ratings:
Florida St: 19th
Wisconsin: 52nd

My Effiency Ratings:
Florida St: 24th
Wisconsin: 67th

I am Taking Florida St. -5.5 (2 Units) :103631605

MIAMI (7 - 5) vs. CALIFORNIA (8 - 4)
Week 16 Saturday, 12/27/2008 8:00 PM
-------------------------------------------
Not up for typing out my opinions in this game as I have had a bad night, and had too make myself get up to post these. The first one took longer than expected, so i'll just provide some statistical reasons.

Rushing:
California YPR: 5.4 (Ball control)
Miami YPR: 4.0
+1.4 YPR differential

Turnovers:
California: 19 Turnovers/ 31 Takeaways
Miami: 23 Turnovers/ 14 Takeaways

Trends:
CALIFORNIA is 11-1 ATS as a favorite of 3.5 to 10 points over the last 3 seasons.
CALIFORNIA is 8-0 ATS off a home win by 17 points or more over the last 3 seasons.

My Power Ratings:
California: 17th
Miami: 53rd

My Effiency Ratings:
California: 12th
Miami: 35th

I am Taking Cal Bears -9.5 (2 Units)

Good Luck,

Well, not exactly the start I was looking for in my first 5 Bowl Picks, but 60% is acceptable.

As for as the Cal game. I do not make excuses about games, but Riley should've had the start IMO, and that chip shot??

No big deal, ya win some ya lose some. Bad call on my part.

3-3-0

Can't catch a break. Missed XP, and another chip shot killed me. Not worried, just down juice on the Bowls. Considering I made 100+ units on the season, and still a lot of bowl games left, not worried at all.

Good Luck the rest of the bowl season.

Just locked in...

Missouri -12.5 (2 Units)

I feel Missouris' talent is too much for Northwestern. Maclin will have a big game, and this is Daniels last show on a big stage. He has something to prove, and I think he will.

Good Luck,
Randy

On a side note: Please do not forget some simple rules to sports betting. Including the one I am about to paste here. We are all adults here (most of us anyway) and need to accept and be at peace with our OWN decisions.

5. Understand each wager placed is YOUR money, and YOU wagered that money. If you lose, you have only YOURSELF to blame. (When one can finally realize this, you will become more successful).

Bowl Progress Thus Far:

California -9.5 (2 Units) (loss)

Missouri -12.5 (2 Units) (loss)

3-4-0 -2.7 Units

No excuses. Just capped the games wrong today. Apparently I am forcing plays, and need to get back to basics and be more selective. The reason I thrive in Regular Season, is because I have the ability to select 5 to 7 games of 40+ games a week. I have 5-6 games I really like, and only 1 of them has been played. All the rest (including the games I won) I may have been forcing. I understand that by doing this I'm only hurting anyone following as opposed to helping which is my goal.

Good Luck to all of you guys in your selections throughout the bowl season. I will look at these games and learn from mistakes.

NEVADA (7 - 5) vs. MARYLAND (7 - 5)
Week 16 Tuesday, 12/30/2008 4:30 PM
----------------------------------------

Both of these teams come into this game with a 7-5 Record. They have also played a different quality of opponents. Maryland has been possibly the most inconsistent team in college football this year, and Nevada is consistent in two things. A great rushing offense with a dynamic QB (Colin Kaepernick), who can run or pass. 1,000 Yards rushing and 2,400+ Yds passing this season. But also a defense allowing 30+ppg. Fortunately for them, they will be facing an anemic rush offense in Maryland avereaging only 2.8 YPR. The turnover battle is also in the Wolfpacks favor and especially over the last few games. Nevada is excited about being here, while Maryland will probably be looking at this game as a finality to such an up and down season.

Trends:
Nevada is 12-3 ATS off 1 or more straight overs over the last 3 seasons.
Nevada is 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games on turf.
Nevada is 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games as a favorite of 0.5-3.0.
Nevada is 13-4 ATS in their last 17 games following a ATS loss.
Terrapins are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games overall.

My Power Rankings:
Nevada: 27th
Maryland: 63rd

My Effiency Ratings:
Nevada: 58th
Maryland: 64th

I am taking Nevada -2 (3 Units) SkyBook

Good Luck,
Randy :103631605

3-5-0 -6.0 Units

Not having a good bowl season thus far, but only down 6 Units. There will be ups and downs as we are all aware of. Yes, even I can hit a rough patch. Tread lightly until I pick it up again, because things will catch back on and I will start winning again. As long as the winning streaks always outmatch the losing ones and money management is used, there will be no problems.

Overall: (86-28-4)(76%)(+113.6 Units)

Only lost 1/20th of the profit I made over the season. Nothing to be all huffy and puffy about if you ask me. This is why I stress money management. For small bumps in the road like these.

Good Luck on any other plays you may have tonight fellas,

Well, first, I hope all have had a great 2008 year, not only in sports betting, but with life in general. I hope 2009 proves to be even better for each and every one of you.

It's obvious i'm struggling right now, so I do not advise tailing blindly (nor have I ever). Here are my plays for tomorrow. Play em, fade em, or disregard. No write-ups, because frankly, write-ups don't produce winners. Hoping to get back on track personally with these plays, and if it does not work out, I will keep grinding it out.:103631605

1. Air Force +4 (2 Units) Bodog
2. Pittsburgh +2 (2 Units) Bodog
3. Georgia Tech -4 (2 Units) 5 Dimes

Good Luck tomorrow fellas. I could sure use some.
