USC -10 -115

Again, a speed bump, Trojans will have 4 or 5 tougher games in confrence. ASU,Cal,UCLA, Oregon all by far tougher foes.

Sandiego state +6

Sdsu on the get well, lindsey I think could be a sunday player, is waaay better than oconnell who i have no idea how got drafted.

Duke -2.5

nobody wants to die, enrollment will be down at military schools. Duke 2-0 ats and very impressive vs talented james madison.

TCU -12

Stanfords defense swiss cheese, Hornfrogs may be bcs' in this year

UCLA +9

Are you kidding me? PAc 10 getting 9 from MW's.

Rail, you're one of the smartest guys here, but ASU, UCLA, Cali and Oregon are tougher matches than Ohio St? That's just plain stupid. UCLA wouldn't stay within 17 of OSU and Ohio St would win by a TD easy over the rest. USC is a better team and they might cover, but that statement was ridiculous and showed way too much bias. Like the rest of the picks though minus UCLA. Duke is the best play of the week imo. GL

OTK, I see where Rail's coming from regarding that USC remark. I might go as far as to say that the scores will be telling in all 5 of those games. OSU is coming into the Coliseum with a target on their back from being in the NC for the last 2 years. Just the opposite in the conference games he mentioned. USC will be the team with a target on its back in those games. USC's conference opponents have experience playing the Trojans and that will show up in the final tally.

This may not sound right but it is. It's similar to the SEC. One of these years USC will hand the title off to one of them. USC doesn't beat all of them in any given year as it is. Most of them have beaten USC in recent years.

Actually if you look at the record under Carroll, you would notice conference games are what have been USC's downfall the sub 10 times they lost. Only 2 games were OOC & one was the fluke Rose Bowl. Plus who knows a team better than a conference foe. USC has not lost a OOC game during the regular season since September 21, 2002!

you make some good plays rail but some of the things you say after your picks is crazy. To say that Ohio St would have trouble with Cal, ASU, Oregon and UCLA makes you look like a five year old homer. You're better than that. Cmonnnnn. And what the hell does "nobody wants to die, enrollment will be down" mean...that might be one of the top 5 most ignorant things I have ever heard in my history at the RX.....anyways..BOL on your plays...

Curious to what you think about the Fresno game...I mean they are from Cali. This must mean that Wisconsin should just stay home and concede and worry about week 4, right?

Im not a fan of qb Brandstatdter for Fresno other wise I would be on them.

Army is the worse d1 team, and I noticed navy seemed off vs Ball St, The Iraq situation has players thinking twice before playing with these teams last 2 to 3 years. also players not being able to go nfl in some situations.

Oregon,Cal, and ASU have very formidable offenses with great coaches. Bucks offense is easy to defend, its why they have so many 1st half punts the last 3 years when the line up vs the Akrons,YTowns, and Ohio U. of the world. Tedford,Bolleti, and Erickson big time coaches. Tressel cant get players. That Boeckman qb is going to get crunched. Dawoofdaddy made a good point that Fred Davis left Columbus to go to USC. Why? because he recognized.

IT carrys over to basketball, You dont see a lot of teams with "class" cover spreads as 18 + favs in confrence because of familiarity. YOu get a Miami O in non conf your not use to that, they run it confrence teams are familiar.

To say OSU doesn't get players is laughable. Wasn't Pryor the #1 recruit in the nation last year. I'm sure he will have a big part this weekend. To even think OSU would run the same offense vs USC they did vs Ohio is laughable too.

Boeckman is pathetic. Last week result wasnt look ahead, it was who they were. Thye needed a 1st cheap shot on Ohio qb and 4th qtr refs to even win the game as a 35 fav. Ohio State only qulaity opps last 3 yrs has been Fla,Tex and LSU and were blown out in 2 and lost at home to
Texas.

I hope USC throttles them so we don't have to put up with the sweater vest in the National Championship game again....

Rail, about the only thing I don't agree with is SD ST. I happen to follow SJ pretty closely so I have my own ideas about that game. I didn't realize that you keep up with the Cali teams like you do. I'll be watching your threads more closely now that I know this.

I think TCU will beat the trees too. Not a strong play to me but you could very well be right, especially if the Horn Frogs have an aerial game. But they need to keep Gerhardt in check if they expect to put any distance between them.

BOL this year.
