Yes. Any of you lefties still want to back off and ease the pressure on these Muslim extremists?

Wait til Russia wakes up and joins forces with the U.S. in this.

This why we need John Kerry to be Pres. he would understand the terrorist needs and therefore would make it easier to negotiate and so that the terrorist could make their transition back into society smoother so that we can give them a fairer shake.

"Wake up and smell the coffee or this is coming to a school near you."

Great idea. So when are we going to quit sightseeing in Iraq and actually go after some terrorists?

Maybe while hurricane Frances is tearing the east coast apart we could just send the extra sheets of plywood to Iraq instead....they surely wouldn't need any aid or goods or rebuilding in Florida, would they?

Fuck Iraq.

Try reading up a bit on the Chechen war for chrissakes.

In the 'old days' they would have been freedom fighters(Muhajadeen etc) trying to rid themselves of Russian Communism.

The Russians have been killing them for fuxxing years.
About 100,000 died in the first 2 years.

1992 - Chechnya adopts a constitution defining it as an independent, secular state governed by a president and parliament.

1994 December - Russian troops enter Chechnya to quash the independence movement. Up to 100,000 people - many of them civilians - are estimated to have been killed in the 20-month war that followed.

The REAL reason for the Chechen situation is to prevent a "domino effect" where other states declare independence from the Russian Federation and it falls apart.

The cost in Chechnya has been so high that other states inside the Federation are afraid to declare their independence.

Its actually not unlike your own civil war, which as you all know, was kinda messy, and probaly still has undercurrents in your society.

The human race.
Hugely diversified, but genetically/psychologically we're not much further forward from the Romans or anyone else, 2000 years ago.

Technologically, we are highly advanced.
(superadvanced really)

Psychologically, there's not much difference.

A human lifespan is too short a period to worry about it really.

dunno.

'Your life will have more questions than answers'
might sum it up.

Once you get older, you stop worrying.

C'mon, how can you blame the Russians for defending their territory. It would be like one of our states declaring independence and succeeding from the union. Let's say that Massachusetts decide to declared it's independence. The U.S. would go and and unload....uh, wait...O.K., bad example, considering the current state of that State, and its Senators, we would probably trade that state, its Senators and a state (is Hollywood a state?) to be named later, to any terrorist looking for a safe haven.

So many members on this board know absolutely nothing about world history yet they feel knowledgeable enough to chime in all the time. This was done as a retaliatory act for the Russians killing so many of them indescrimatly. Kinda like what you guys are doing in Iraq right now.

I am trying to figure out how Bush being in office makes any difference if radical Muslim terrorists kill women and children and I am really struggling. Is this another one of those "fuzzy math" ideas? Because frankly I don't see the connection. If our President had to worry about the welfare of 200 countries women and children...shit he would never get anything done at home here! Then again Bush is really working that job well, I mean he is out preventing terrorists by speaking to crowds of nothing but supporters in locked down locations in the US daily. That is definitely helping keep those terrorists down, no doubt about it. Speaking to yet another factory crowd or whatever the business of the day is in Wisconsin surely saves the world.

Funny thing, but doesn't anyone else notice Kerry and Edwards when on the road usually have at least an event or two in pretty much a town square or some other open location. That is just too low for George to go I guess, he would hate to actually go out and have to meet and be faced with REAL people. Oh no, George only has time for handpicked supporters who are screened by hundreds of staff. Yep, a man of the people indeed

I can't believe this world we live in...seeing small kids in this situation really is difficult to even watch or listen to what took place....

.... exactly why I try not to even watch the news anymore.

"If our President had to worry about the welfare of 200 countries women and children...shit he would never get anything done at home here!"

That's what the US presidential election has turned into, a vote for the next world president and who gets to oversee the welfare system of taking care of 200 "sovereign" nations.....who needs sovereignty anymore when the good old big brother USA will step in and pump billions into your country trying to solve all your problems....we might as well just tell the other nations to just dump thier own flag, forget about taxes or providing a military to protect themselves.....because we're just going to rip the stripes off our flag and add a couple hundred more stars and have 250 states...

There's no justification to go into a school and murder children, NONE.

eek - you frikken idjit! You're trying to equate freedom fighters with this bunch od emasculated cowards he take over a school and ultimately murder a lot oif innocent civilians.

Appeaseres like you helped get World War Two started. How many Brits and Americans died because Chamberlain didn't have the balls to stick it to Hitler before Hitlker finally stuck it to him.

I had some regard for you until you placed these animals in the same category as freedom fighters.
