I am close friends with a lot of african americans, that I've gotten
to know pretty well from various hoop teams.
They joke about the watermelon, fried chicken, collard greens, ...
Because - it's true that blacks tend to like those foods. I don't think
it's necessarily racist to laugh at different race's likes/dislikes.
But, no doubt people can use them in their slurs...
Racism today is that black people are angry towards the white people cause of slavery and other bad stuff that were done to them cause of race. It supports a purpose and a calculated agenda. Hope this helps. Just my opinion with all due respect that is! Rock on!

Not to sound like a dick but....If Obama wins and becomes the first black president can we get a break from the Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton shit. Maybe also we can stop hearing how there are not as many opportunities for blacks as there are whites. To me Obama shows everyone (whites included) that if you act with a self respect and show intelligence and manners people will treat you that way.

Blacks do not get as many opportunities as Whites do. That is something that will not change...The Darker races have always been subject to this kind of discrimination.
