The Haskell goes in 5 minutes, for 1.25 million....

think the only thing that threatens her today is the mud...if she takes to the track........she is the talent in the field...and kinda surprising there isnt a tougher field to go against her......

The fans go crazy when she comes on the track, and the commentator just said she is the most beautiful horse he has EVER seen.....

Seems she is the feel good horse of the year......

VD i think that depends....i doubt she wants any part of her on "synthetic" track....but at any east coast track I think Rachel would beat her...

but what a matchup it would be...

Trust me...she wants no part of Zaynetta (sp?)

I don't think they'll ever meet. Rachel Alexandra won't be going to the Breeder's Cup at Santa Anita because her owners want to keep her running on dirt tracks and not synthetic surfaces and Zenyatta's owners want to keep her on the West Coast where she runs at Del Mar next week and stays and waits for the Breeder's Cup in California.

Both owners are sportsman. I don't blame them for not meeting on each others' surface.... But if the TV networks offered a price they couldn't refuse to meet on a midway track--anything is possible.
I love RA at her distance 1 1/8 mile.

How is THE Horse of the YEAR determined? I know it's by voting. But by whom?
Both Horses want this badly.

National Thoroughbred Racing Association, The Daily Racing Form and the National Turf Writers Association..

Those are who vote.. They are usually bias to East coast horses as well.

gonna be a joke if they dont face each other this year, and i dont think they will... shows that people dont really care about racing, only money, theyd rather each win a $1 million dollar race than run 2nd in one which is fine, but it kills the sport

We should have a write-in campaign to all for a match race--"FOR THE AGES".

It would be GREAT and pay for itself if they get er done within 45 days or so.

As it stands--RA is a lock! (She beat the Ky Derby winner and the Belmont Stakes winner....oh and SHE won the Preakness Stakes)

i think it is a joke to run the breeders cup on a rubber track, think they really need to look into this if RA skips the breeders cup like they say
