i was surprised that so many ppl had the spurs last night..

despite them being down 0-2 at the time.. its not liek dallas are a joke of a team. they've bin fierce against spurs over the past 2 seasons. and many of the games have b in close.

and without ginobli it really restricts the spurs offensively. But i guess i wasnt expecting such a blow out

Slow start, that's all. The Spurs will still be there in the end and will still be contending for the title this year. In a 7 game series I'd still take them over teams like Houston, Dallas, and maybe even New Orleans. Don't get too carried away with a slow start.

yeh heaps of good teams always get off to bad starts every year. i dont know y anyone would be concerned. if there were odds on spurs still making top 4 this yr. i'd take it . regardless of the powers of the west !!

imagine if rockets, dallas and spurs werent all in the same div.
those 3 teams would finish alot better then they do each season

looks like age and depth issues are starting to show. Without Manu this team has a severe lack of firepower. Who do you depend on getting you all your points? Tony Parker? Sure he can score, but he is a point guard, and the team is best suited when he is getting others involved. Duncan is the 2nd option (or maybe the 1st, him and Parker interchangable), he is solid, but there are more explosive scorers in the league. Duncan will give you defense, rebounding, more defense, and then some offense. Michael Finley is he the 3rd best option off the bench? He is not the player he once was. Then you have Matt Bonner, and defensive specialist Bruce Bowen in the starting lineup. The Spurs desperately need Manu back, but until then I can see them struggling.

They might be in some trouble. Sure they will get Manu back, but they have never been a great offensive team. Will they start to slip on defense now that they are another year older?
