I quit 12 years ago after a massive heart attack. Blessed to be still breathing. Since quitting I have run over 200 road races, including 11 half marathons and 2 marathons. Quitting is difficult but well worth the agony. Glad you chose to do voluntarily and not after a near catastrophic event like I suffered. Good luck on a new, healthy lifestyle!

Good to hear. Smoking is awful.

I bet a good friend of mine she couldnt avoid cigarettes throughout 2013. I bet diamond earrings. She bet a week of unlimited bjs. I hope she wins.

^^^ Says the guy whose social life requires him to take regular HIV tests.

Really? I said that?

My job requires an annual test you moron. Been married for nearly 15 years now so feel free to apologize at anytime for being a complete and total douche.

And if the Road Warrior says it, it must be true..

How did you quit? I've never smoked. Just curious how you did it. A friend of mine wants to quit but she's having a hard time

I just have had enough... my breathing is affected among a hundred other things... it was my time to quit and now I just pop a jolly rancher every time I want a cig.... its been 12 days now... still not really getting too much easier but I know if I hang in there it will get easier...

Congrats on quitting......now a question, how is Obamacare going to knkw if you are a smoker or not? I dip snuff, im pretty sure if I was asked if I dipped and if I said yes it would cost me $5k a year, my answer would be "hell no I dont use tobacco of any kind sir"[/QUOTEA Dentist looking in your mouth could tell you used snuff in less than 2 seconds, even if you hadn't done so in several days' So could an MD or hygenist.
