A speaker could be decent. I wasn't there last year, but I assume there is some kind of time where you maybe do introductions, hand out door prizes, etc. A 15-20 minute speaker could be cool at that point

BUT...he should be talking about something interesting that everyone would enjoy hearing...not just 15 minutes of B.S. Maybe a set topic like...future of the offshore industry, player protection, U.S. gambling law and implications, some "sharp" handicapping advice"

bottom line is that it could be great, but only if the speaker is talking about information that is not readily available elsewhere. BW could be interesting in this regard, depending on how much he is willing to divulge

If Bobby Knight's startin'.....Fair Warning ain't departin'. Its my best Garry Templeton imitation.

Just kidding, but if Knight goes, can you at least fit him in a RX shirt that fits him (unlike his sweaters).

Dante/Shrink

thanks for inviting me as featured speaker. The title of my talk will be:

"Power drinking: Keys to successfully surviving a 12-hour non-stop bender and how to piece together the glimpses of memory the next day"

This will be followed by a HANDS ON demonstration and book signing!

I would be interested in hearing an offshore heavy discuss the future of the offshore wagering industry.

I would also be interested in hearing from an offshore insider what is in the works for players to do money transfers when the Kyl Bill finally passes in some form. We have all heard a lot of speculation about "virtual money" or something like that but I would like to learn more.

Peter,

I just did that for 9 days talking to guys at books big and small. I pretty much transcribe what I heard down there and I get people telling me I know nothing or I am full of you know what. Needless to say there are quite a few opinions on this and of course the guys working down there are fairly bullish. So don't know if getting one of these guys talking will exactly receive the greates reception...

While it is certainly something everyone in the industry is always looking at, I don't think anybody really knows what the true effects of the Kyl bill will be. If it passed would a European or Canadian business be willing to take the risks of being a processor? No one can say for sure now. Just rest assured that people are always at work on this one, both in the books and in the banking industry. The vacuum always gets filled eventually as they say.
