Question on how the betting system work

I'm new to this. Could anybody tell me how the odd maker come up with the lines? It's true somebody told me that , it's all control by LAS VEGAS. THey knew the outcome of the games before they are played. Let say 100 people bet over and only 28 people under. They LAS VEGAS will make it under. I don't know how they do it, maybe they buy the players. THat what i heard. But i doesn't make sense to me though. There are like 50 games a day college and pro basketball. How can they manage to tell the players exactly what to do 1st,2nd,3rd,4th, 2nd half...................


What exactly the real reason behind all these?

some people told me the lines giving by the computer. People crunch in the numbers, statistics, players,home or away.....all sort of stuff in a program. The computer analyze it and give the lines. IS this true?

Here's how Vegas controls betting and sports...

1) they have homing devices in footballs, baseballs, basketballs, pucks, soccer balls, etc.
2) they have speed/stamina boosters in every athlete's shoes.
3) they buyout at least 50% of all athletes in each sport. they recruit them while they're in college. the ones that cooperate more easily, get drafted earlier.
4) they assign certain oddsmakers to certain games. some games they have experts make lines for, other lines are made up by an oddsmaker that signs up and pays for a "fantasy opportunity" package on LiveYourVegasSportsBettingFantasy(dot)com. the experts usually get the line within 1-5 points of the final score. the amateurs usually miss it by 15-30 points. idiots.
5) if athletes do not cooperate, Vegas implants chips in the heads of their spouse(s), children, friends, or other family members, and have them commit crime so that certain player's image is tarnished. that'll teach him to mess with Vegas.


There you go, in 5 easy steps, that is how Vegas controls all of sports.
