What do books (outlaw) do if a player can't pay his losses? Is it still the days of breaking legs?

Does the book hunt down the player? Sell the debt?

Any one offering credit will work with you afterall they want to get paid so don't get too scared. Be honest and set up a payment plan that you can stick too and don't pay interest if possible.


This is the world of offshore books and you bet with your money that you have sent them already.

i dont have any experience with offhsore credit shops, so someone else will be better suited to answer you......now a local may give yu some trouble depending on whom we are talking about....

A friend of mine had to meet his local. The local guy booked for me back in mid/late nineties.

After my friend settled up, we quickly turned to discussing how many people stiff this guy and what he does to them when it happens.

It's like, you go bruise a guy up over a gambling debt...he goes home, the wife sees the bruises, calls the police....the whole thing gets ugly real fast.

Our society has too many protections for deadbeats. I am self employed, dealing with consumers. When someone stiffs me in my business, there is very little I can do about it.

It goes both ways 2 books local stiffed me over 20 g's between them. Its a bad way to go.

My employment is self employment. Actually, the business is coming along nicely. But the truth is, I make a lot more at Ameritrade than the business has ever thought about. If the shit continues with Ameritrade, I will be selling the business. The business is a good money maker. But compared to the time requirements of Ameritrade and the headache factor, I figure why bother?

I've kept the family living nicely since the layoff 3.5 years ago by researching investments...primarily Ameritrade but now I am starting to make with sports too (which I enjoy a million times more than stocks).
