I see that the alt line on Carolina -10.5 is +260. I was wondering if you bet a two team 7 pt teaser at -130 and took the Bucs at +10.5 and found a 7.5 point favorite to tease to -.5 could you lock in a profit? I guess the main thing I am asking is can I find a Moneyline of better than +260 on a 7 or 7.5 underdog.

Also, please help me with my math.

If I bet a two team teaser 7 points 260 to win 200 for example with Bucs and lets say I put the Pats in.

Then I place a $100 bet on Carolina -10.5 +260 to win $260. So, if Carolina covers the points I break even. If not, I am down $100 heading into the 2nd leg of the teaser.

So in effect I would have a bet of Pats Moneyline $260 to win 100 because I had already lost $100. If Raiders are +300 I could lock in a small profit.

Looks like it would be close to a wash looking at Past Moneyline dogs that are around the 7 point underdog range. I assume that I could get a moneyline of around 280 or so at Matchbook on the Raiders and that would make for a small profit.

Any suggestions, thoughts, etc?

I don't think it's profitable using the teaser on TB. At -130 a two team teaser is really a parlay of two teams with each leg -303. If you are only getting +260 then you need to make up +360 on the other leg to make it a break even.

In your example if Car doesn't cover then you are down 100 heading into the second leg. Now you need to win 100 plus 260 (original teaser) on Oakland. So if you are getting +300 on Oakland you will need to put 120 on Oakland to win 360 (260 teaser and 100$ Car -10.5 bet). If Oakland wins then you break even. However if the teaser covers then you only win 200 on the teaser but you lose 120 on Oakland ml and 100 on Car -10.5 resulting in a 20$ loss.<!-- / message -->

Thanks Hitman. After I saw your first response I realized that I was indeed wrong. Thanks for the explanation. I would need to get at least +360 to even break even. Obviously not a good bet as the -7 point dog likely wouldn't fetch that kind of ML.

Thanks again. Sorry for the waste of a post. :ohno:

Yeah +310 is close enough.
