Question for those that have lived on both the West Coast & East Coast

For those of you that have lived on both the West Coast & East Coast of America for a signifigant amount of time...

Which do you prefer? Watching the NFL at 10am & 1pm or 1pm & 4pm
How 'bout 5:30pm or 8pm
And of course 6pm or 9pm

nfl at 10 am. i grew up east coast literally chomping at the bit waiting all day for football. as it is now. at 37 living on the west coast - i stay up late one nite a week, saturday, sleep in sunday... and there is nothing quite like shaking off a hard nites sleep with instant entertainment. the ONLY draw back is that i have overslept a bet here and there. not often, but if i am up until 3 am watching tv or bangin away - odds are my azz will miss opening kick offs.

West Coast, you can get up on Saturday, literally watch every game and then still go out and have some entertainment that evening. Plus, if you work you don't have that Monday Night hangover for those games that end at 1 in the morning.

I live on the East

My guess is I would like WEST better on Sunday Morning but prefer the night games on Sunday & Monday

Trust me the early starts on the West Coast on Sat and Sunday are not any fun. You need to get up at least by 8AM or earlier for 10AM starts to have a little time to make final decisions about last minute plays. IMO the later the start the better it is for players.

Are you trying to be entertained or are you a serious bettor? If you want to watch a lot of games for action's sake then west surely is better. If you are just looking for an edge I have to think the later times work better. Especially if you hold down a 9 to 5 where you can easily miss plays.

the Best Coast times are the greatest. you wake up - and pretty soon it is FOOTBALL time! also - on MNF when the game runs long - it ends BEFORE 10P - so you can watch the entire game and go to bed at a reasonable hour. on the Least Coast you are up till past midnight.


the Best Coast times are the best - and it's really not even close!

besides - if you watch games on the Least Coast that means you have to live in that hellhole and not where those of us who live out this way know we live in the greatest area there is to live

and living on the Best Coast also means you are as far away from Shrinkie-poo as you can. that ALONE is reason enough to live on the Best Coast.

West Coast All the Way

There is nothing like getting up and watching NFL games starting at 10:00 am (unless I have a golf game) - not to mention college games starting 9:00 am Saturday. And if you're a complete lunatic like me, you can watch European Soccer on a very slight time delay starting at 7:00 am Saturday on Fox Sports World. I was even up at 4:00am today watching Tottenham play Arsenal in English Premier League Soccer (wild game - Arsenal won 5-4).

I don't work, but if I did, I'd prefer the West times, on weekends. MLB would be tough though. It depends on your shifts. Nothing is best for everyone. I just liked living in west better, overall. I want to move from New England ASAP, though !

I prefer the West Coast having lived on both...

Although, with the RX horse racing forum as my witness, I missed a 5/2 shot today at Woodbine cuz I slept in...

Monday night football is brutal starting a 9, ending at midnite. Loved it when kickoff was 6. Not too mention all the other west coast starts at 9. Mlb games ending way past midnite. Forget about Hawaii games.

I'll go even one better..Hawaii. Lived there for 3 years and it was tough getting use to 7:00 Am football. But I loved the MNF Because you would get out of work and go to a bar and watch the game and still be home by 7:00pm.

This country's in a real heap of trouble: what a bunch of sickos!!!

And inconsistent too : can party hearty 'till the sun comes up & still make the am games; but all of a sudden the MNF into Tuesday work is difficult???

Who the ***** wants to party until way past dawn on both Friday AND Saturday nites-- then have to catch early morning games two days in a row!!!

I have enough trouble here on the Beast Coast, just making the 1pm's-- often missing the 4pm's also...

ALSO,,, here on the Beast Coast we operate on Dracula Time: meaning-- "When we perchance decide to partake of evening entertainment, seldom do we depart our abodes before midnight(as precious few quaint & charming events take place at the vast majority of chi-chi / frous frous clubs before that time of night anyhow

)"-- so i do not get the following:
