Does the Rx still recommend Sportsbettingtrivia as a book to play at? I ask because the following is on their main page, and I understand that they no longer advertise here, and can't find them in your recommended books area. TIA

My personal opinion is this:

They seemed to have payed out everybody that has requested a payout....that I know of. However, some took longer than what should have been expected. Their main guy, Barry, has commmitted himself with a very professional approach in this forum and many individuals that know of him speak of him in high regards.

From what I can personally gather, it appears that Barry has SBT headed back in an upward direction. HOWEVER, I am personally going with the approach of wait and see for awhile before I re-up. How long that will be, not sure.

Thanks, Fish.

However, I am looking for confirmation that SBT is either on the 'official' recommended list or not. I would think 'not' because there isn't a mention anywhere on this site of this book, yet they are still using the 'Rx-recommended' banner on their webpage.

Jazz,

I will ask that they take down that banner immediately, since they are no longer an "official" sports book that we endorse...

There have been several slow pays in the past while they were advertising with us...

This is an interesting statement.

The slow pays did not become public on the forums until just after SBT stopped being an advertiser.

Now you state that you were aware of several slow pays WHILE THEY WERE STILL AN ADVERTISER, yet you still left their banner up on the site for potential bettors to sign up through, and you gave no notice to existing clients of the slow-pay problems.

Very interesting.

Interesting point, Halifax - Ken, were those slow pays reported here prior to the advertising contract being dropped? I recall one day posting a topic asking if they'd been dropped since I'd never seen an announcement about it and then one day they were just gone. I may have missed them since, contrary to popular belief, I don't live here.

As a customer, I was paying close attention to any news on SBT.

I am 99% sure that the slow pay situations did not come to light on the forums until after SBT was taken off the advertiser's list.

All I know from my experience for the last 6 months is that I have been paid in a timely fashion. Two weeks ago we asked on this forum if anybody was not paid or slow paid by this company. Nobody has come forward. It appears once again Jazz cannot let this company conduct their business without rehashing a couple of slow pays that were mentioned on this forum a while back. I believe they were D2bets and, Halifax and I believe Bulldozer who were slow paid. If there is anyone else please post here. It is incredible how this book receives a D- rating from SBR when they appear current and that they are graded in nearly the same way as no pay houses like ESB and Little Nasa.

boston1: once again you simply are ignoring the facts here. First, I wasn't the one who mentioned slow pays here, for Christ's sake: it was Ken, and Halifax asked a perfectly valid question. None of this topic refers to their current standing.

Secondly, THIS topic was about WHY SBT still had the 'Rx-recommended' banner on their site when they are NOT on the recommended list.

Third, you've completely ignored the fact that Barry himself admitted '7 to 9' pay problems HAD existed due to what he called a 'rogue' ex-employee. We're not talking within the past 2 weeks, okay?

Fourth, I found their new payout policy to be interesting and posted it.

Get it through your head I am NOT challenging SBT on their current status, okay?

Thanks for the clarification Jazz but do you atleast admit that the D- rating by SBR is ridiculous??/

Ask Buzz, not me, I don't know what info he has - I do recall, I believe, that Blue Marlin was dropped to a D- a few days before they kicked the bucket.

I received a complaint of slow pay before the stories hit the forums. As soon as I received the complaint I looked to see if they were still advertising here. The banners were not up. I looked because that tells me whether I should expect mediation. I contacted SBT and they worked with me on the problem. They said the contract had expired.

As for not revealing to the forum, I was asked not to by the player & this is not unique. Complaints come often that I do not report to the forum. In the case of SBT, the player asked I do not share the details with the forum. I obliged his request. And it is not fair to throw the book into the spotlight when the case may just be a misunderstanding.

There are all kinds of false claims and when a player contacts me and says I feel I am being done wrong, then due respect must be given to player and book until the truth comes out. It seems to most often be word vs. word and it takes time to see how it plays out.

The cases I think we seen were minor and SBT was being very cooperative in assisting. There is no need to call a book out publicly as long as they are cooperating and making efforts to pay the player.

In the case I refer, SBT was very willing to help and were making payments to the player(This over the course of a week). In talking with SBT, I was convinced that they were making strong efforts to try and fix these issues.

I will continue to keep issues behind the scenes when possible, because there are posters who would take such info and blow it way out of proportion and make it seem way worse than it is(Even without knowing all facts). I cant say that I was happy with SBT for the slow pay, but I can say that I do not feel any regret in the way I handled it.

It happens all of the time and as long as progress is being made, then if the player wishes, I will keep it behind closed doors. The players feel like they will hurt themselves if they go to the forum and I can respect that.

Well said General. Jazz does not need to create any further havoc against SBT. He is comparing them to Blue Marlin.. Way out of line.

lol - 'further havoc against'???

Jesus, boston1, I SAID to ask Buzz about his rating. I'm personally ECSTATIC that you are thrilled to your bones to be playing at SBT and hope you continue to enjoy an excellent experience there. I TOLD you to ask Buzz, and simply said a FACT about their rating. But that's not good enough for you, is it?

And glad to see General's post - but why aren't you bashing Ken for posting about the 'slow pays' back then instead of me? Why aren't you saying, 'Gee, you're right, Jazz, I DO wonder why SBT hadn't yet removed the Rx banner from their site after over 3 weeks of no longer being recommended there.'.

This is NOT just a forum for uncritical praise about sportsbooks, it is SUPPOSED to also allow reasonable questions and points to be made about them. I'll continue making them as I see fit, about SBT or anyone else, though there really is nothing more to say by me about SBT unless you want to keep this daisy chain going.

Thanks, General.

I guess your case must have been one of the more recent cases, because Shrink mentioned SEVERAL slow pays DURING the time when they were advertisers.

Shit, I missed that, Halifax, you're right, the General did say the following (my coffee is weak this morning) - still leaves your original question open ...

I assume someone is going to say the same as the General did, that these were private cases.
