Question for the full time professional gamblers.

I just tell them flat out that i'm a professional gambler.. I pay my taxes just like anyone that has an ordinary job...

the responses i get vary from person to person.. some are jealous and some think it's just crazy.. they usually want to know what type of gambling i do.. I only do 3 types in this order.. Sports, poker, and craps.. These are the only ones you can win long term at.. thats why when i walk by people playing slot machines at the casino i just laugh.. Cause even the sucker that gets lucky and hits a jackpot at the slots, is just gonna lose the money playing slots later on..

if they are only casual acq you should not be telling them too much about you and they should not be asking too much. change the subject when they ask too much but it seems like you want to tell them enough so they keep asking

Then they usually want you to elaborate.

Tell them you invest in everything from precious metals, currencies, stocks, sporting events, real estate and anything else you see value in. Better yet, leave out the sports. Most people will never understand this business, or immediately think you are a bookie/"seedy person" if you just say professional gambler, or sports bettor.

Tell them you are in the greeting card business, and it is really cutthroat, can't talk about it.

or maybe just say you work for/with the gov't in a secure/sensitive area.

okay then make up some story and write it down so you can remember it. maybe something about you develop things for patent brokers and when they ask for more information tell then for obvious reasons you are sworn to secret and change the subject. also you have triad as your location here hahahahhha tell them your family owns real estate in kowloon hong kong and california.
