Cardinals only starting lefty is Garcia, who throws much better at home. His splits are ridiculous. He will start games 2 and 6 almost undoubtedly. Great set of breaking balls when he's on, but he's starting to wear down, especially around the 5th inning.
The bullpen lefties are Rhodes and Scrabble. Rhodes is hit or miss and will only face one batter at a time more than likely. Scrabble has dominated Howard and Fielder in the past two series, and can face more than one.
the "don't call him the closer" is Motte, who's a fastball pitcher still developing an off speed pitch. He has about 6 different fastballs, and might be able to shut down the rangers the first time he faces each batter-but I don't expect him to do it multiple times.
Salas and Rhodes are some what similiar-both have been thrown into high pressure situations, but I really don't have a feel for them as far as pitchers. Lance Lynn has been money the entire seasons (when he's been healthy). He can go multiple innings, and probably will.
Carpenter everyone knows.
Jackson's fastballs are pretty flat. I expect the Rangers to hit him
Lohse will be decetn the first time through the order but get pounded after that.
The Cards don't lose much when they are in an AL park, they have Allan Craig who would be a 4 or 5 hitter on a vast amount of teams in the league. The Cards lineup is SOLID! As in Berkman could bat 7th vs lefties.
Furcal
Theriot
Pujols
Holliday
Freese
Craig
Berkman
Molina
Jay
All probably have more info as we go along. Some cardinals hitters suck vs soft tossing lefties, some will wait back and drive it (freese)
(Therioit could drop to 8/9 and Craig to the two hole, though)
